The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 158

It got me thinking for a bit. But then I realized that it made sense. Why would I take it from someone if I didn’t even know how to read since I was too young to remember stealing it.

I eventually just shrugged it off and I kept reading.

Ben looked like he was getting ready for the showers and he took his shirt off while standing between our two beds and I couldn’t help but look up at his perfectly beautiful muscles that tensed up with every movement he made and then the tattoo caught my eye as well. It was hard not to. It took up the whole top part of his back.

I caught myself staring again so I quickly looked back at the book and tried to concentrate on reading. But I wasn’t having much luck.

I saw Eric grinning at me and I felt the flush of embarrassment cross my face before I grabbed my book and I took it outside and I sat at a table and chairs that were outside the bunk house and read under the one light that we had out there.

I wasn’t sure how long I was out there before I heard Justin approaching. I guess it was time for lights out, so I put my book mark in and closed the book.

“Wow. We don’t see that around here very often.” Justin said.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“Someone reading.” He said.

“Well, I guess you can get used to it. But this is the only book I own and I haven’t seen a library around here so it’s probably the only book you’ll see me reading.” I said.

“I’m sure we can work something out. Listen, I need to talk to you about something.” He said, sitting down.

“It sounds serious.” I said.

“It is. You were transferred here at the right time. We just received word that your last base was attacked. We don’t have all the details yet, but we do know that it was werewolves. The Captain over there believed that they were being watched by packs that were nearest to them. People believe that they are the ones that attacked the base.” Justin explained.

“How bad?” I asked.

I don’t know why I suddenly thought of her. We didn’t kill anyone from her pack. And I don’t know why, but I don’t see her as a threat.

I usually see every werewolf as a threat, but she was different.

I shot her with a silver bullet and she came after me, but I just knew that she wasn’t going to kill me. She was running after me for another reason. After she called me Savannah.

When I managed to get my mind clear I walked back inside and I put my book away and got into bed.

Justin was making sure that I was alright and I told him that I would be fine.

I knew he didn’t believe it. And I was lying. But I wasn’t going to let everyone else in the bunk house know how upset I was right now. That the people I grew up with were all probably dead. It’s none of their business.
