The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 166

BEN POV

You know, after having my heart broken I told myself that I was never going to fall in love again. I was determined that I wasn’t going to get my heart stomped on again.

My mother always told me that I fell in love way too hard. And I never saw a problem with that. Not until Ellen met that other guy and tore my heart out and stomped on it. But I had to do the right thing.

I wasn’t going to be a baby about it. I wasn’t going to fight for her, not if she didn’t want to be with me.

There was nothing I could do except put in for a transfer. So that’s what I did.

And it brought me here. Straight to Lilly. And I don’t think I could have made a better choice.

I know that we haven’t known each other that long but after spending the night with her last night in the field, I knew that there was something about her that has made me smile even more than Ellen was able to.

She’s the one. I know that she’s the one. But I have to play it cool. I don’t want to scare her off. I can’t scare her off.

I will still show her that I’m interested but I don’t want to be too full on or anything like that.

I can’t do that. Not with her.

I am really interested to know about this other guy though. She got really weird when she said that there was a guy at her last base that was interested in her but she didn’t want to talk about it.

Maybe he was just messing with her feelings and then dumped her and humiliated her or something like that.

It’s obvious that they didn’t end on good terms.

I don’t know what the fuck his problem was. She’s more of a woman than anyone I’ve ever met. Even Ellen has never acted as grown up as Lilly. And Ellen’s the same age as me. She’s 19 when Lilly’s only 16.

She seems like a lot of fun but she’s serious at the same time.

Doing this obstacle course has shown me that she can keep up with any man and she’s willing to do what it takes to beat Eric.

“What are you talking about?” She asked, breathlessly.

“11 minutes 58 seconds.” Justin said. And she put her head up and looked at him.

“Are you fucking serious? I did it? I broke the record?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Justin said.

“When I get my breath back, I’m going to be jumping up and down just like you are.” She said, still having trouble breathing.

I took her towel and water bottle over to her and she had a drink and wiped the sweat off of her face.

“He finished just after you. Which means he didn’t make 12 minutes.” I said to Lilly and she started laughing. As much as she could laugh right now.

“Does that mean Eric has to keep going until he makes 12 minutes?” She asked.
