The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 168

LILLY POV

When we got to the helicopter pad, Justin was already waiting for us and we got on board and found our seats before we put on our equipment and we lifted off.

We always had to have a senior with us whenever we went on a mission and this time it was Justin. Even though he’s only 25. He’s not really a senior, but he’s older than us and our trainer. And Ben and I are his soldiers right now.

“How long is it going to take to get to this pack?” I asked.

“It’s about four hours. We’ll hit them just before sunrise.” Justin said as we were climbing in the air and I was looking out the open window, holding my rifle full of silver bullets in my hand.

“Have you been on a mission before?” Ben asked.

“One. I was sent into the Midnight pack.” I said.

“Holy shit. And you came out alive?” He asked.

“Yeah. The Luna almost got me, but I made it out of there.” I said.

“You’re lucky. I heard that they are vicious.”

“They looked scary. And they’re huge. Not just the people but the pack. There’s so many of them. I was sent to get something from the packhouse but I failed. So I wasn’t sent on another mission after that. I was actually sent to this new base instead.” I explained.

“Justin, how big is this pack that we’re going after?” Ben asked. So he pulled a file out of his bag and he handed it to me first and I started looking through it.

We always needed to know what we were going into.

We needed to know the layout of the pack and we needed to know the numbers and everything.

The researchers that they had for the Hunters were amazing. They were never wrong when they were sending us to a pack. They always had the numbers right and who the Alpha and Luna are and everything.

They even have when the warriors are on patrol and where they are.

We could get in with so much ease that it was laughable.

I looked over at Ben and I could see the intense look on his face and it got me wondering if this was his first time in the field.

“Are you alright?” I asked.

“Yeah. Just a little nervous. I get like this before all missions. But I’m fine when I get there.” He said. So I nodded my head.

We landed the helicopter a few kilometers away from the pack so they wouldn’t hear us coming and we had to sneak in through the woods.

It took us another hour just to get to the pack and Justin was leading all of us, but he got us to split up and we had our guns raised.
