The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 178

“I know. But like I said, he’ll get over it. I don’t know what I did to piss him off.” I said. But Ben scoffed.

“You know exactly what you did to piss him off.” Ben said.

“Ben has this warped idea that Justin is interested in me and he doesn’t like that I’m spending all my time with you guys. Mostly Ben.” I explained.

They all looked at each other but none of them laughed or smiled or anything.

I have a feeling that they were all thinking the same thing. But I wasn’t going to entertain that sort of bullshit right now.

I grabbed one of the books that I got from the library and I opened it to the first page.

“Moby Dick. Well, that’s better than Interview with a Vampire.” Eric said.

“Yeah. I thought it was about time I read something else.” I said.

“Yeah. Sounds like a good idea.” He said.

It wasn’t long before everyone started going to bed after a long day. But I wanted to sit up and read a bit more of this book.

I’d already read the first couple of chapters and it was really interesting. But Justin came to the door and he looked straight at me before he looked around the rest of the room.

“Lights out.” He said, flipping the switch.

So I sat there for a moment with the book in my hand but I was staring at the door.

Ben was laying on his back facing the ceiling and I looked back at the book so I could mark the page where I had finished it.

But something weird was happening with my eyes.

When I looked down at the book in the darkened room, I could still see the words on the page.

I pulled the book away from my eyes and I blinked a couple of times before I brought the book back up and I could still see the writing on the pages.

“Are you alright?” Ben asked, looking over at me.

“Yeah. Sorry. I’m fine.” I said, lying.

I quickly put the book down and I laid down on my bed staring into the dark room.

But when I got to her I looked down at the baby and I stared into its eyes. They were mine.

I woke up having trouble breathing and shaking.

Ben was right by my side as soon as he heard me wake up and he got me to sit on the side of the bed and tried to get me to calm down.

“What was it? Your dream?” He asked.

“I don’t know. It was all a blur.” I said, lying to him again.

“Alright. We’re all under a lot of stress at the moment. Just take some deep breaths.” He said. And I nodded my head.

Ben sat there with me until I calmed down again and he finally laid back down but he reached his arm across so I could hold his hand.

And I have to admit, that was definitely a lot more calming. I wish we could have pushed our bunks together. I just wanted him to wrap me up in his big strong arms. Make me feel safe.

But that wasn’t possible.
