I was paying closer attention to the area outside the door of the chopper and I knew that I had seen it before.
We flew over my old base. The one that was now abandoned because Morgan and Ezra attacked it and wiped them all out.
But that meant, we were headed to the Midnight pack. We were headed to Ezra’s pack. The one that they were in charge of. The one where my two little brothers and my little sister were.
They’re only children and I haven’t even had a chance to meet them yet.
I got a real sudden sense of dread and Justin smiled at me when he saw that I realized where we were.
I just paid close attention to my old base that was now deserted and made it look like that’s what I was upset about.
I spent most of my life there and now it was reduced to nothing. A lot of the buildings were burnt down. Others were just trashed.
There was debris all over the ground. Like people had left there in a hurry. But the truth is, they were all killed.
It got me thinking about Jason and Camilla. Did they make it out alright or were they killed in the attack?
They were my best friends.
They’d probably hate me now. But there was nothing I could do about that. I would just be happy if they made it out of that pack unharmed.
It wasn’t too much longer before we landed a fair distance from the pack and we got off the choppers and started walking through the forest after that.
We had to walk for another few hours before we finally reached the pack.
Ben started walking slower than usual and it was getting dark at this point.
We already knew how to navigate through the forest in the dark, but my werewolf sight was starting to kick in.
I could see in the dark. I could see everything. Right down to the bark on the trees to the little animals that were nesting for the night.
When we noticed that Justin was ahead of everyone because he was the one giving the orders, Ben grabbed a hold of my hand and stopped walking.
“They are taken care of. Don’t worry.” Ben insisted.
So we kept running until we got to a weird cliff face and Ben stopped and looked around everywhere.
Suddenly someone was standing behind us and I turned to look and raised my weapon.
I didn’t know the man and he didn’t move like a man or a werewolf.
“Calm down Lilly. He’s not going to hurt us. He’s going to get us out of here.” Ben insisted.
“Who is he?” I asked.
“I’m a ghost.” The guy said.
“How are you Corey?” Ben asked.
