Hunter growls with Shaw’s deeper voice overlaying it. He sets the picture aside and turns to me. “We should celebrate. Right now,” he says, rolling over me and making me laugh.

He’s just about to slide inside me when the phone on his nightstand rings. This time his growl isn’t a happy one at all.

He reaches over, not moving off of me and watches me as he answers.

“Alpha Hunter.”

“Hunter! It’s Kayce. I need you, Lucas and some warriors over here right now! Robin is fighting for his life in my pack hospital and Nikki‘ s gone. She’s been kidnapped.”

“What’s on your mind, my beautiful mate?” Robin asks me.

I know this scene, I’ve dreamt of it hundreds of times since Robin and I marked and mated. He had worked to build my trust, worked to show me that he was willing to go against the laws of our kind and mark me privately. After seeing the difference with Hunter and Sophie, I’m not sure how anyone wouldn’t want to do things differently. Robin and sworn to love and honor me as a mate should.

Chapter 359

had deerded that I was ready, finally ready to wear Robin’s mark. I’d gone to our shared bedroom, one where we’d spent a lot of frustrating nights, kissing and touching but never mating, and I had dressed in an outfit that I knew would let him know what I was thinking, what I wanted.

When he walked into the room, I slowly made my way toward him, the short, skimpy negligée barely covering my ass. I’d gotten white, since it’s my first time giving myself to someone, and I’d chosen something sheer, so he could see what he was about to get. Not that he hasn’t seen me naked before, he has. The man is magic with his fingers and with his mouth, but tonight will be different.

I watch as his eyes get darker and darker the closer I get to him. When I finally step up to him, he takes my hips and pulls me against him.

“Did you want something?” he asks me. He knows I do. But I’ve learned that he makes me ask for it and, in some instances, he makes me beg for it. Although, I’ve turned those tides on him making him beg for me to finish him when I’ve used my mouth to bring him right to the edge. One thing I love about Robin, there’s never a dull moment. He loves me challenging him just as much as I love him challenging me.

I reach up, grabbing his shirt and ripping it open, the buttons making a tinkling sound as they bounce onto the floor. I run my hands over his chest and stomach, feeling his hard muscles with my hands as his hard length presses against me.

“I want you,” I say.

“You have me.”

“I want to make you mine.” I say, watching his eyes go completely black

“Are you sure?” he growls.

“Yes. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.”

He lifts me up by my thighs and carries me to the bed.

“I know you like to be in control my little mate,” he growls, licking and sucking on my neck. “But for this, your first time, I think I should be in control. I think that will make it easier for you.”

I nod in agreement. “But next time, I get control,” I say, making him

chuckle.

That’s just one more thing I love about Robin. He may challenge me at every turn, but in the end, he doesn’t care about giving me control. He loves what a strong, powerful Alpha wolf I am, and he encourages me to show my strength, to be the powerful woman that I’ve always been. There aren’t many men in this world, even fewer Alphas, who would be willing to put up with someone like me. I’m not only very strong physically, but I’ve also got a very smart mouth. As he’s told me more than once, he loves everything I do and say with my mouth.

He sits back, looking down at me, at the outfit that I had chosen for tonight.
