While Nikki makes plans with Letti for her and Jake to come to our pack and meet Owen’s old pack members, I pull Kayce and Dutton aside.

“Have either of you noticed Aiden or his pack members wandering around or near your packs?” I ask.

“Yes,” Dutton says immediately. “Aiden’s been sniffing out my mates, I’m sure. We don’t recognize all of the scouts we’ve seen, but it’s got to be them. Zahn would have no reason to go after my mates and we all know that Aiden wanted them.”

“What about you, Kayce?” I ask him./

“Maybe once or twice, but nothing consistent. Are you seeing it more frequently?” he asks me.

“We spotted Koden recently. It makes me nervous. We know he has a vendetta against Hunter, and there’s nowhere else for him to be except with Aiden and I’m assuming that Camden is with them now too.”

“And you’re worried about Nikki,” Dutton says. He would understand the most since having Aiden sniffing around his pack means his mates are at risk as well. I’m thankful I only have one to worry about. I’m not sure I could handle worrying about two mates who are pregnant.

“As will I. As will everyone,” Kayce says. “You’re not alone, Robin. Things have changed in the last year. Our packs aren’t living in silos any longer. We’re becoming much more unified and that will only continue if all the new Alphas are like Jake and want to create alliances right away.”

I turn and look at where Nikki is hugging Letti. Allison, Sophie, and the twins are talking with them and I’m guessing that Allison will be coming to visit when Letti comes to our pack. Since she was part of Allison’s and Kayce’s pack until she met Jake, I’d expect that they’d have a lot to catch up on.

I smile as my mate looks over at me. ‘We’re going to have a sleepover later this week,‘ she says in the mind link.

‘You, Letti, and Allison?‘ I ask.

‘How’d you guess?’

“I’m being asked if you are in agreement to having us come visit when Jake and Letti are visiting,” Kayce says, smiling at his mate.

“As if I have a say in the matter,” I say.

Dutton snorts. “Try having two decision makers in your pack. I never make a decision anymore.”

“And forget telling them no once they’re pregnant,” Kayce says, still smiling at Allison. I have no idea what he’s saying to her in their mind link, but I watch her head snap up and her cheeks go pink.

“I don’t know. I love telling Nikki no, just so she can remind me that she’s a strong Alpha female that will get her way if she wants it,” I say, watching my mate shake her head at me. I’m not sure if she heard me or if she’s just responding to tenor of the emotions through the bond. Either way, I just smile at her.

As much as I love our banter and our constant playful power struggles, that doesn’t mean that my mate doesn’t give me her submission. Her sweet, sweet surrender is just as exciting to me as her challenging me. Just like last night as I had her bent over, taking her from behind while the sound of her pleasure echoed around the lake.
