Chapter 391 Morning Harmanja
Even though Lynn had tried to hide it, the slight hoarseness in her voice had given her away.
How could Lucas not have noticed?
He just found it odd that she hadn’t spoken up at the time.

Lynn was from the coast and couldn’t handle heavy spices. Girls like her were used to milder flavors-her throat would need days
to recover.
Besides, she didn’t eat proper meals regularly, always snacking or ordering takeout, so her throat probably wouldn’t heal anytime
soon.
Seeing he wasn’t going to explain, Lynn dropped the subject.
Back then, she hadn’t dared to say anything-after all, she was a guest in his home. When you’re relying on someone’s hospitality, you keep your head down. And she was afraid he might complain to her parents, so she really hadn’t dared to voice any displeasure.
Having someone looking out for her at all was more than she’d expected.
“Milk or coffee?” Lucas called from the kitchen.
“Milk, please. Could you add a little sugar?” She had a sweet tooth.
Lucas didn’t reply, but she heard the soft clink of a spoon against glass as he stirred in a scoop of sugar.
Lynn smiled to herself. The way he did it looked almost like he was dosing poison.
Lucas brought two glasses of milk to the table. “This one’s sweetened.”
Lynn took it from him. “Thank you.”
“Pancakes or scrambled eggs?” Lucas asked.
“Could I have a little of both?”
Spoiled.
Lucas placed both plates in front of her and brought over an extra small bowl.
The two ate facing each other..
Lynn didn’t eat much-two small pancakes and a scoop of eggs, and she was pretty much done.
Lucas finished the rest without comment.
