The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 104

Listening to Beatrice's hysterical screaming, Vincent's head throbbed with a blinding headache.

"Shut up. I never agreed to any of this."

"The Prescotts specifically said you agreed to it!" Beatrice shrieked.

Vincent's heart raced wildly.

In that moment, he felt his entire world plunging into total darkness.

And all this chaos had been orchestrated by his own flesh and blood, Stella, systematically crushing everything he had.

The company. The family.

Overnight, she had forcibly seized absolute control.

Finally, under the dual weight of the chaos at the estate and the intense pressure at the company, Vincent collapsed.

With a heavy thud, he passed out cold by the door of the finance office.

Hearing the noise, Stella looked up from her coffee cup.

Seeing Vincent unconscious on the floor, the smile on her lips turned icy. Asher stepped forward. "Ms. Channing."

"Drag him away."

Throw him wherever. As for the company, the work still needed to continue.

Three years...

As Stella scrolled through the disastrous financial records, her brow furrowed tighter and tighter. Vincent had some serious nerve.

Not only was the entire financial workflow non-compliant, but the supposed Finance Director was actually one of Beatrice's relatives.

And she didn't even have a license.

Did he genuinely not know this was illegal, or was he just astronomically stupid?

Vincent was dragged out.

Stella tossed her mouse aside. "Call the financial crimes division."

There was no need for a deep audit. The financial staff weren't even certified. They were practically handing her a golden opportunity on a silver platter.

Asher nodded. "Understood."

With Vincent's lackeys entirely cleared out, Stella got up and walked over to check out her own office.

However, the items covering the desk all belonged to Valerie.

Photos, and his collection of model race cars.

They really loved stealing what belonged to her. They had even taken over her personal office.

Stella swept her hand across the desk, sending a model race car crashing to the floor with a loud smash.

Asher spoke up. "I'll have someone clear this out immediately."

Stella turned to him. "On the phone, you said Rainey Fitzgerald hasn't been buried. How does that relate to what I asked you to investigate?"

Rainey had been dead for about five years now, hadn't she?

And she still wasn't in the ground.

Asher replied, "I haven't found a direct link to what you're investigating just yet."
