The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 105

Stella headed downstairs.

The moment she stepped out of the building, Lawrence's people intercepted her. "Mrs. Sinclair, please come with me. Mr. Sinclair is waiting for you at the office."

It was Lawrence's executive assistant, Danie Greer.

Though titled an assistant, everyone knew she was Lawrence's mistress.

Riding on Lawrence's coattails, Danie had spent the last three years treating Stella with the haughty arrogance of an elder sister-in-law.

Even though Lawrence had never publicly acknowledged their relationship, Danie clearly viewed herself as his wife. She loved mimicking the other Sinclairs, constantly ordering Stella around.

And the old, docile version of Stella had never fought back once.

Just like right now—she used the word 'please', but her tone was a direct command from a superior.

Recalling how Danie had spent the last three years whispering poison to Vivienne behind her back, Stella's eyes narrowed.

These people really loved lining up one by one to dig their own graves.

Stella's gaze turned somber. "You seem to really enjoy speaking to me in that tone."

Danie froze.

Her expression faltered for a second before hardening into a scowl.

"Then what tone should I use to speak to you?" she sneered dismissively.

Even the way she looked at Stella was brimming with contempt.

Sure, she was technically Mrs. Sinclair, but everyone knew Stella was nothing more than a glorified maid who waited on her in-laws.

For the past three years of her marriage to Julian, she had bent over backward to please the Sinclair elders.

The kind of parasite who only knew how to cling to a man for survival was exactly the type of person Danie despised the most.

Listening to Danie's arrogant tone, and seeing how she deliberately tilted her chin up to establish dominance, Stella smirked.

The curve of her lips was ice cold.

She took a step forward, raised her hand, and delivered a resounding slap right across Danie's face.

The strike was so sudden and forceful that Danie's head whipped to the side, a loud ringing exploding in her ears.

Something in her brain completely short-circuited.

The air went dead silent for a moment.

Danie turned back slowly, staring at Stella in sheer disbelief. "You..."

Smack.

Another vicious slap echoed through the air.
