The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 172

This woman, who constantly practiced Buddhism, was now radiating an aura that sent shivers down the spine!

Beatrice stammered, "W-what are you doing here?"

Penelope Fitzgerald wore a faint smile as she signaled to the butler standing behind her.

Understanding the gesture, the butler stepped forward and snatched the designer bag right out of Beatrice's hands.

Beatrice's heart jumped. "What are you doing? Give that back!"

She instinctively reached out to grab it.

But she was immediately pinned down.

The butler opened the bag, pulled out the stacks of cash totaling a few thousand dollars, and handed them to Penelope. "Ma'am, it's all here."

Penelope cast a disdainful glance at the money. "Are the Channings really this broke?"

"Oh, right, it's not that you're broke! It's just that you and your illegitimate children were kicked to the curb by little Stella."

"You..."

The sheer humiliation drained the color from Beatrice's face!

She glared at Penelope, her eyes blazing with fury.

In that instant, Penelope's gaze turned icy, and her holy, compassionate facade vanished completely.

She scoffed coldly, "I may practice Buddhism, but I certainly don't play nice!"

Beatrice was speechless.

"You actually had the audacity to mess with me. Hmph!"

With a cold snort, Penelope stood up, walked slowly over to Beatrice, and raised the hand that had just been holding her prayer beads.

A sharp slap landed squarely across Beatrice's face.

The force of the blow knocked Beatrice's head to the side, sending her sprawling onto the floor.

Before she could even react, Penelope delivered a vicious kick right to her face!

"You just love using that face to seduce other women's husbands, don't you?"

"No, that's not true! I didn't!" Beatrice instinctively cowered backward.

But trapped in this place, where could she possibly run?

Penelope let out a dark laugh. "Still denying it? The payment for your services is right here. Don't even try to lie!"

She kicked Beatrice in the face again.

Beatrice let out an agonizing scream. Clutching her head, she desperately tried to protect her face.

But it was useless. Her cheeks were already burning with explosive pain.

"Stop, please don't."

"Did you think just because I pray, you could walk all over me?" Penelope's tone was deadly.

Beatrice shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "No, no."

Penelope tossed the stack of cash back to the butler.

"Consider this tonight's bonus. Teach her a lesson she won't forget!"

"Yes, Ma'am."
