There was no way she had reverted back to who she was three years ago. The grandparents who protected her were long gone.

Stella popped the last piece of dessert into her mouth. "Of course you do. I'll head over after dinner."

She was planning to go back and settle the score anyway!

"What did you say?" Vincent demanded.

Dinner?

Before he could explode, Stella hung up on him.

She tossed the phone aside just as their food arrived.

Holly looked at her. "Did Julian go crying to him?"

Slicing into her steak, Stella replied, "Sounds exactly like something that loser would do."

He had played the tyrant for three years and finally got his ass handed to him. He was definitely in shock, so whining to her family made perfect sense.

Holly stared.

That loser...!!

Her choice of words was brutally extreme!

It seemed the divorce was definitely happening.

But still, "How did you actually snap out of it?"

It was just too sudden!

Holly just couldn't comprehend it, considering how fiercely protective Stella used to be over him.

"I already told you. I had a psychotic break three years ago," Stella said. "And instead of locking me up in a psych ward, you all just watched me marry that garbage. Disgusting."

Holly sputtered. "Wait, how is this our fault?!"

Also, did she just call Julian disgusting?

Holly was completely floored!

Stella took a sip of her wine. "I'm going to St. Jude's Cathedral tomorrow!"

"Since when are you religious?"

The sudden shift in conversation was giving Holly whiplash.

Stella was moving way too fast today.

"I don't have a choice," Stella muttered.

She never used to believe in the supernatural, but this was undeniably bizarre. She was terrified that parasite might try to claw its way back into her body.

She needed to find a master to spiritually banish the damn thing.

Seeing Stella act so superstitious, Holly didn't press the issue. Instead, she asked, "Does Bash know you're getting a divorce?"
