The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 43

Hearing the shift in her tone, Julian continued to add fuel to the fire. "Coax her? With the way she's acting now, it's a complete waste of time."

Even when she had been somewhat docile, they hadn't managed to coax those assets out of her.

Now that she was acting like a total lunatic, what were the chances of getting anything through soft tactics?

"You're right," Vivienne agreed. "If we couldn't get it out of her then, we definitely won't get it now!"

At that moment, Vivienne's voice dripped with ultimate danger.

It was clear that, thanks to Julian's prompting, she had formed a lethal plan regarding Stella.

Hearing this, a heavy stone finally lifted from Julian's chest.

He had absolutely zero desire to play nice with that woman.

"She demanded I meet her at three o'clock today to finalize the divorce!"

Speaking of it brought back his grinding fury.

That wretched woman had actually threatened him over the phone, completely oblivious to her own vulnerable standing.

Someone with absolutely no backing was daring to threaten him.

Divorce or death, she had said!

"She won't make it to three o'clock," Vivienne said coldly.

Julian blinked. "...What?"

"Leave this to me."

With that, Vivienne hung up.

Listening to the dial tone, and especially registering the sheer malice in his mother's final words, the suffocating anger Julian had harbored for two days finally eased.

Stella Channing, you brought this upon yourself. Don't blame the Sinclairs for being ruthless!

He turned around and saw Ivy sitting on the steps. His gaze instantly softened.

Seeing Julian walk toward her, Ivy stood up immediately. "Julian~"

Her voice was as soft and sweet as a kitten's, nothing like that shrew Stella.

Seeing Ivy reminded Julian that he had forgotten to tell Vivienne about Ivy getting kicked out of her home.

Vivienne had always been somewhat fond of Ivy.

Julian pulled her into a hug. "It's almost over between me and Stella."

"Mm," Ivy nodded.

She had overheard his conversation with Vivienne.

A flicker of triumph crossed Ivy's eyes. Stella... you dug your own grave!

"So, what do we do now?" Ivy asked.

Now...

Hearing that question made Julian's expression stiffen again. He didn't have any spare properties under his name.

Over the years, his grandparents had always looked down on him, restricting his access to everything.

There were times he seriously doubted whether he was even their biological grandson.

"How about we go to your aunt's place for now?"
