"Oh, but I forgot, the ones in Gwyneth's belly are the two young heirs of the great Mr. Everhart. Just imagine how adorable they'll be when they're born."
Patti Yale's current mental state made Hawthorne deeply worried. He didn't dare say too much, afraid of provoking her. Whatever she said, he could only listen in silence, letting her vent.
"You want money? I'll transfer it to you immediately. But please, don't hurt my wife and children. What else do you need? Just tell me."
He immediately transferred another 20 million to Patti Yale, an instant transaction.
Patti Yale stared at the transfer notification on her phone, and her laughter became even more chilling.
"Hawthorne, oh, Hawthorne. So you do have someone you care about. Weren't you so protective of your money? What did you say before? I merely used some money from your card, and you were going to call the police, make me pay it back, and even sue me. Do you remember?
"Now, for Gwyneth, you give me 20 million without a second thought. What exactly do I lack compared to her? Why do so many other women have someone to love and cherish them, but not me? Why do all of you treat me like a used rag, to be thrown away after you're done?"
The new balance in her account only agitated Patti Yale further. She still couldn't understand what she was missing. She had a good family background, a great figure, good looks, and a high-level education. Her father had even been a high-ranking official in Greenvale. Why couldn't she have a happy family and a man who adored her?
Hawthorne didn't answer the question. He was convinced Patti Yale had lost her mind. Any person with a shred of sanity wouldn't dare kidnap a member of the Langford family.
After venting into the phone for a while with no response, Patti Yale slowly calmed down.
"I've received the money. Thank you, Mr. Everhart. See you tonight. By the way, I saw a complete diamond necklace set I liked at that jewelry store under your family's name. Could you be a dear and bring that along for me as well?"
Hawthorne agreed to her every demand.
"Fine."
He hung up and turned to Hans. "Did you trace the location?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
