"So you've been painting me all these days just to sell them?"
Gwyneth still hadn't grasped the severity of the situation and kept happily chattering away.
"I used to think having a pretty face was useless, but now I know that good looks really can pay the bills. Look, I put one up in an auction house, and it's already bid up to fifteen thousand dollars. Turns out my husband—"
Mmh—
Before Gwyneth could finish, a soft pair of lips crashed down on hers, and she was entirely enveloped in Hawthorne's embrace.
He kissed her until her head spun and she completely lost her bearings.
"Do you know what the staff at home have been saying lately?"
They were incredibly envious of him, saying that Mrs. Everhart loved her husband so intensely. When he was home, they were practically glued together, and when he went to the office, she poured all her longing into painting his portraits every single day.
When he heard that, he had felt an undeniable surge of pride. Little did he know that his wife was so obsessively painting him just to 'sell' him. It was utterly humiliating.
"H-How did they say it?"
She was kissed breathless. Right now, Hawthorne wanted nothing more than to give her a spanking, but every time he raised his hand, he couldn't bear to let it fall, leaving him with no choice but to punish her with kisses.
"Forget it, never mind."
It was too embarrassing.
He looked at her. "Are you really that desperate for cash?"
The allowance he gave her every month wasn't exactly small—millions of dollars in spending money plus a black card with no limit.
Aside from buying some essentials and baby clothes for the twins, he hadn't seen her buy anything else.
"No—I'm not."
Gwyneth still didn't realize what his issue was.
Not until Hawthorne's severe disapproval was practically written in bold across his face.
"I'm revoking my image rights. Can't we just admire them privately, darling? You love selling me off to crazy internet fans so much, what if one or two of them are total psychos?"
He absolutely hated the idea of other people having dirty thoughts while staring at his face. The mere thought sent shivers down his spine.
Gwyneth finally understood what was bothering him and broke out into a fit of laughter.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge
I can’t even read this sickening story anymore, this couple didn’t even get a chance to be really happy before their marriage was torn apart. It had been dragged out long enough....
If Gwyn gets an abortion I am going to stop reading this story, I believe in pro-choice but come on. Why can't he just tell her what he is really doing with Patti instead of letting her think she is a mistress....
Why no updates? It’s been so long! Pls update....
