134 Chapter 134 I Just Cannot Stand You
Blanche’s POV 1
Before the crowd could finish their chatter, I watched Drew and Nicholas descend from the second floor.
Zain appeared from the restroom area just as they reached the bottom.
The instant this trio of powerhouses showed up, silence fell over the room. Everyone immediately shifted into suck–up mode.
I glanced around for Vincent and his date but came up empty. They’d vanished since I’d returned from the bathroom.
Zain strolled over to Drew and Nicholas, and Drew asked casually, “Where’d you wander off to, Zain?”
Zain accepted the red wine Drew offered, swirled it slowly, then answered in that rough, low voice with a hint of amusement, “Spotted a
little kitten. Decided to play with it for a while.”
Drew’s brow furrowed as he studied Zain with interest. “A kitten? Since when do you mess around with cats?”
Drew knew damn well Zain had zero interest in pets.
Zain just lifted his shoulders, sipped his wine, and said vaguely, “Maybe I’m developing new interests.”
Drew clearly didn’t catch Zain’s meaning, so he changed topics. “Where the hell are Carry and Joanna? Haven’t seen either of them
tonight.”
Zain paused for another sip before responding, “Joanna went hunting for Carry.”
They’d basically finished their business, and Drew looked ready to bail on all the mindless chitchat. He suggested, “Let’s track them
down.”
The second Drew stopped talking, chaos erupted near the entrance.
Someone shouted, “Look, it’s Mr. Aarav!”
A girl shrieked, “Oh my God, Vincent! He’s gorgeous!”
Zain and Vincent both ruled their respective social scenes, but with one major difference.
Zain had a reputation for loyalty–Joanna was his one and only. Vincent, however, was notorious for being a player, smooth–talking every
woman in sight.
Both men were stunning and wielded serious power, but women always gravitated toward Vincent. They all harbored the same fantasy: ‘Maybe I’ll be his next pick!
Drew was getting fed up with all the squealing.
He grumbled, “Strutting around like some damn peacock. I don’t see what’s so attractive about the guy.”
Zain shrugged. “The man’s got looks. Can’t argue with that.”

Nicholas added, “He’s got a point there.”
Drew looked even more irritated. “You two have lost your damn minds. Are you feeling alright?”
The commotion at the entrance grabbed my and Amara’s attention, temporarily derailing our gossip session.
This time, Vincent entered solo. As he cut through the crowd, people automatically parted to create a path.
He ignored every attempt at conversation, his focus locked on something ahead as he moved through the masses. Vincent finally
stopped dead, positioning himself directly in front of a girl.
I studied him and realized the girl facing Vincent was the same one who’d apologized to me earlier. A cold feeling shot through me.
The place was packed, but Vincent made no effort to be discreet, so everyone turned to watch.
Envious stares followed him, and even the girl standing before Vincent looked shocked, her eyes wide with disbelief.
So many people would kill for a single word from Vincent, but he’d ignored them all to walk straight up to her.
‘Wait–does Vincent actually want me?‘ the girl wondered, her pulse racing. Her cheeks flushed pink, and nervousness made her
practically speechless.
Vincent gazed down at her, smiling. “You’re stunning. What’s your name?”
The girl looked slightly panicked but still answered sweetly, “Hello, Mr. Aarav. I’m Ashlee Adams.”
Vincent cocked an eyebrow. “Got a boyfriend?”
Ashlee shook her head. “No.”
Vincent’s intentions couldn’t have been clearer–he was obviously interested in Ashlee and fishing for information.
The crowd buzzed with jealousy, but Vincent acted like none of it existed.
“What about me, Miss Adams? What’s your take?” Vincent asked, his voice smooth and self–assured.
Ashlee hesitated briefly, but when she met Vincent’s gaze, she blushed and stammered, “With your status and power, no one comes
close, Mr. Aarav.”
Vincent laughed, nodding with approval. “Nice. You’ve got a way with words.”
Ashlee looked even more pleased with herself. She gave a little nod and said, “You’re too kind, Mr. Aarav.”
Ashlee grabbed a wine glass and extended it toward Vincent. He looked down at it but didn’t immediately accept.
Watching Vincent just stare at the glass, Ashlee’s hand began shaking–nerves made her barely able to keep it steady. But eventually, Vincent took the glass.
Ashlee’s face broke into a massive grin. She lifted her own glass, clinked it against Vincent’s, and said, “I’d love to toast you, Mr. Aarav.”
Ashlee knocked back the entire glass in one gulp.
The gossip started up again.

“Mr. Aarav’s such a player. He just walked in with one girl, and now he’s already moving on to someone new.”
“His girlfriends are like a woman’s wardrobe–there’s always something fresh. You get used to it.
“With all these women around, who knows which one he’ll choose? I’m curious to see who wins in the end.”
I heard every word of their chatter. I was thinking exactly what everyone else was–Vincent was a playboy who’d never commit to just
one woman.
After Ashlee finished her drink, Vincent couldn’t help praising her. “Miss Adams, you can really handle your alcohol.”
The compliment made Ashlee bolder, and she asked shyly, “Would you mind giving me your number, Mr. Aarav?”
Vincent smiled. “Sure.”
Ashlee handed over her phone. He took it, entered his number, and gave it back.
When Ashlee got her phone back, she asked timidly, “Mr. Aarav, would you be available if I called tonight?”
Vincent raised an eyebrow, a playful smile crossing his lips. “Absolutely. My driver’s always on standby–just give the word and I’m there.”
Ashlee couldn’t stop her imagination from running wild, her cheeks turning an even deeper shade of red.
But then Vincent suddenly grinned and said, “Hope you’ll like my driver, though.”
Ashlee froze, convinced she’d heard wrong. She frowned and asked, “What do you mean?”
Vincent’s smile grew wider, his tone lazy and mocking. “What, my driver’s not good enough? He makes over a grand daily, you know.”
Ashlee’s face went white. “Mr. Aarav, I honestly don’t know what I did to offend you, but why are you humiliating me like this in front of
everyone?”
With all those eyes watching, Vincent had built her up, then with one sentence, tore her down completely.
This kind of public humiliation was worse than getting slapped in front of the entire crowd.
Vincent’s expression turned ice–cold instantly. He dropped the act entirely, turned to a guy beside him, and extended his hand. The man
placed a small plate in it.
On the plate sat the exact same food that had ruined my dress earlier. Vincent lifted the plate and dumped the contents directly onto
Ashlee’s head,
The sauce and food splashed across her hair, then dripped down, staining Ashlee’s pale blue dress with greasy streaks.
In that instant, Ashlee was completely humiliated and devastated, tears pouring down her face.
Everyone who’d been watching the show suddenly went silent.
Vincent just tossed the plate to the floor carelessly, pulled out a handkerchief, and cleaned his hands.
He fixed Ashlee with a cold, emotionless stare and said, “You didn’t anger me. I just can’t stand you. Got a problem with that?”
