251 Chapter 251 A Taste Of Payback
Blanche’s POV
Vincent swept me up and spun me around, refusing to stop no matter how dizzy I got.
My head whirled–I was about to lose it completely.
I smacked his shoulder. “Vincent, cut it out. I’m gonna be sick.”
That got his attention. He stopped spinning immediately.
When he tried to set me down, he stumbled, and we both crashed onto the bed–him practically on top of
He’s built like a wall, but Vincent caught himself with his hands on either side of me, making sure I didn’t get crushed under his weight.
Still, his body pressed against mine–his face inches away, his chest against me, and something
unmistakably hard pressed close, making the air between us electric.

I wore nothing but a thin silk nightgown.
The faint scent of my body wash hung in the air, and my hair spread across the pillow. The movement made the nightgown cling to every curve, outlining my body in the dim light.
Vincent’s body burned against mine, and I could feel the raw want radiating from him. For a moment, he seemed completely lost.
His face and body radiated an intense, wild heat.
I still ached from the fall and tried to push him away. But he was immovable–my hand only felt the fire pouring off him and noticed the obvious changes in his body.
My face flamed red. I turned away, refusing to look at him, but mumbled in embarrassment, “Vincent, could you please get up?”
Vincent’s thoughts seemed scattered; he was so rattled I wasn’t sure he’d even heard me.
He stammered, “Y–yeah.”
Then he lifted himself off and sat beside me.

Even sitting there, my scent seemed to fill his every
breath.
My scent was like a drug, completely intoxicating–he couldn’t get enough.
I quickly fixed my nightgown, cleared my throat, and asked, “Shouldn’t you be at the hospital with your
mom?”
I sat up too, leaning against the headboard. My eyes were full of confusion as I stared at his back.
Feeling my gaze burning into him, Vincent still didn’t dare turn around. He answered awkwardly, “She’s the one who told me to check on you.”
I spoke softly, “You should go back.”
Vincent shook his head stubbornly. “I came here to be with you. You can’t shake me that easily.”
Before I could respond, Vincent suddenly turned to me, his eyes pleading. “Just for a little while.”
I let out a helpless sigh. “It’s the middle of the night- how exactly do you plan to ‘keep me company‘?”
Vincent froze for a beat.

Then a wicked smile spread across his face as he leaned closer, his voice dropping to a low tease. “Honestly, I could stay right here tonight. If you’re curious to try something new, I wouldn’t mind teaching you a few things.”
There was no mistaking what he meant–I got it immediately.
My cheeks burned with indignation, and I shot back,
“You’re incredible.”
Vincent had that unmistakable bad–boy smirk plastered on his face, his grin full of cocky swagger.
He slowly moved closer to me, clearly planning to mess with me, his every move dripping with playful
intent.
I instinctively backed away, my eyes wide and completely on guard.
Just as Vincent was about to press right up against me, he suddenly froze, tensing up. He tilted his head, listening intently, then asked, “Did you hear that?”
I watched him warily, my brows furrowing. “What

noise?”
Vincent pointed at the wall toward the next room. “Listen carefully.”
Seeing Vincent act so focused made me curious too.
I copied him, leaning in to listen just like he did.
But the moment I heard what was happening next door, my cheeks burned scarlet. I practically sputtered at Vincent, “You–you’re absolutely shameless!”
Vincent flashed that trademark bad–boy grin, then suddenly grabbed my hand, pressing it firmly over his chest. He looked at me, voice full of swagger. “If you’re willing, we could give the neighbors something to really talk about.”
I saw he wouldn’t let it drop, so I met his eyes and replied seriously–with just a hint of challenge, “If you really think you can handle it, then go ahead.”
Vincent’s eyes sparkled with surprise. “Really?”
But a second later, disappointment spread across his face.

Vincent straightened up, a storm brewing in his chest. “You…” He tried to say something, but couldn’t get the words out.
‘Damn, why can’t I just say it?‘ Vincent fumed silently, anger burning inside him—yet his throat locked up, the words stuck and choking.
Vincent finally stood, facing away from me. But he couldn’t hold it in–he spun back to look at me, frustration written all over his face. “You know exactly how much I care about you, Blanche. I like you–I worry about you–and I’d never hurt you. But you keep taking advantage of that, just twisting the knife deeper every time. How many times do you think I can keep letting you walk all over me before I finally snap? Seriously, do you think I can just keep treating you this well forever?”
I gave a bitter little laugh. I almost wanted to tell Vincent he didn’t have to treat me so well, but before I could say a word, he actually smacked himself on the mouth in frustration.
“I’m just hopeless,” Vincent grumbled, a note of self–mockery in his voice. “No matter how many times

you tear my heart to pieces, I can’t help but want to be good to you.”
I just sat there, stunned, my mind going fuzzy for a
moment.
Who wouldn’t be moved by words like that?
If I didn’t know why Vincent really wanted to get close to me, I thought wryly, I probably would’ve completely fallen for him by now.
After a moment lost in thought, I lowered my voice and said, “You should go. I want to rest now.”
Vincent glared at me, his eyes red and filled with mournful, resentful hurt.
Vincent glared at me for a long moment, his frustration far from eased. Suddenly, he strode forward, seized the back of my head, and practically pulled me straight into his chest.
He didn’t even bother with a kiss–he leaned in and
gave my earlobe a hard, punishing bite.
I gave a muffled gasp, unable to stop the pain from slipping out.

When Vincent finally let go, his voice was rough with anger. “That’s payback for what you owe me.”
With that, Vincent walked out of my bedroom.
I grabbed my ear in pain, my brows knitted together in
agony.
I watched Vincent’s retreating back, a swirl of complicated emotions in my heart.
‘He clearly likes Joanna, so why does he keep acting this way toward me?‘ I wondered, confused.
I didn’t get it—but I really didn’t like this side of
Vincent at all.
Vincent’s POV
I walked out of the Callum Mansion in broad daylight, completely at ease.
The servants who saw me looked genuinely surprised.
There weren’t any guests today, so how was a total stranger coming out? they wondered, puzzled.

By the time I got back to the hospital, Lucia had
already taken a nap.
She had just woken up when I pushed open the door
from outside.
I came in fuming, anger written all over my face.
Lucia picked up on my bad mood the second I walked in. “What are you doing back here?” she asked,
frowning.
I slumped into a nearby chair and rubbed my brow, frustration all over my face. “She keeps turning me down,” I muttered.
Lucia couldn’t help but laugh. “What? Someone actually turned you down?”
I let out a long, frustrated sigh. “All these women I’ve known, and she’s the one who just doesn’t appreciate me at all.”
Lucia chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. “What’s the rush? Just take your time.”
But the more I stewed over it, the more irritated I got. “You know, I’ve got women lining up to jump into my

bed. If she keeps testing my patience, I’ll just forget about her and let loose–girls on both arms, living it up every night. Seriously, I could have the time of my life if I wanted to.”
Lucia shot me a look and rolled her eyes. “You better not just be running your mouth.”
I fired right back, “Me? I never talk big.”
