60 Chapter 60 A Tale Of Two Couples
60 Chapter 60 A Tale Of Two Couples
Blanche’s POV 1
At the appointed time, Vincent showed up right on schedule.
With my makeup artist’s assistance, I walked out of the Callum Mansion.
The evening was still young, and my brothers hadn’t returned home yet, so only a handful of maids witnessed my departure.
Not wanting my family to worry, I instructed the maids, “When my brothers come back and ask about my whereabouts, tell them I went
to study at the library.”
The maids beamed and nodded, promising to follow my request.
Stepping outside, I immediately caught sight of Vincent’s vehicle–a unique Lamborghini that looked sleek and striking.
Autumn had arrived, and the setting sun painted everything in warm amber tones. Vincent stood with the sunlight behind him, casually resting against his car with his arms crossed loosely, his trench coat hanging open, radiating an effortlessly cool presence.
When he heard my footsteps, he glanced up. I stood illuminated by the golden sunset, my crimson dress amplifying my appeal, my
makeup perfect, giving me the look of a red–carpet celebrity–I was completely stunning.
Simply by standing there, I drew all attention.
Vincent was genuinely stunned. He stared at me openly, his eyes traveling over my form, absorbing every detail with a blend of wonder
and appreciation. His look held pure admiration, nothing else.
I felt slightly uncomfortable under his stare and softly asked, “Doesn’t it look good on me?”
Vincent walked toward me, extending his arm. “No, it looks perfect on you. The dress is gorgeous, you look amazing, and your makeup is
flawless.” Realizing he was babbling, he seemed a bit flustered.
I didn’t reply, simply placing my hand on his offered arm.
Taking advantage of the moment, Vincent stole another look at me and, with a serious expression, said, “What I really want to say is,
you’re absolutely beautiful.”
I felt my cheeks warm, understanding the meaning behind his words. “Thank you.”
Vincent, wearing his trench coat, appeared effortlessly stylish.
When he wasn’t being playful, he had the air of a polished gentleman–his hands elegant, his features handsome.
My dress, with its V–neckline, showcased my figure beautifully. When Vincent looked down, he accidentally glimpsed something he
shouldn’t have.
So he removed his trench coat and wrapped it around my shoulders. “There’s a bit of a chill. You should put this on,” he said.
I scowled and mumbled quietly, “It’s not cold at all.” Even though autumn had come, the evenings in Oakwood weren’t particularly cold.

Vincent ignored my complaint. Instead, he pulled open the car door and said, “Let’s go.”
I adjusted the trench coat around me and was about to climb inside when I suddenly asked, “What exactly is this event?”
Vincent answered, “It’s an auction. Many influential people from Oakwood will attend.”
Upon hearing that, I frowned and questioned, “Many influential people?”
Vincent understood my concern and clarified, “Yes, Zain will be there as well.”
When I learned Zain would attend, I suddenly began to waver. “I don’t want to go,” I said.
Vincent, grinning, responded, “You gave me your word, Blanche. It’s unlike you to change your mind at the last second.”
I remained quiet. He was correct. I had made a promise to him. Eventually, I climbed into the car.
At the auction location, the entrance was already packed with parked vehicles and clusters of people talking. When Vincent’s car arrived,
a server opened the door and said, “Mr. Aarav, your table is prepared.”
“Fine,” Vincent replied coolly, then got out of the car.
He walked to the passenger side, opened my door, and offered his arm. I slipped my hand through his arm and used my other hand to lift
my dress as I elegantly stepped out of the car.
As I emerged from the Lamborghini, I attracted the notice of several girls nearby. Watching Vincent act like a gentleman toward me, they
couldn’t help but feel jealous. Some of them began whispering to each other.
“Who is she? I don’t recall seeing her before,” one girl whispered.
“Well, when has Vincent ever brought the same woman to an event twice?” another girl responded.
“That’s right. Vincent never brings the same date to these gatherings,” a girl added.
“Yes, but seriously, have you ever seen Vincent open a car door for any woman before?” another girl joined in.
“Honestly? Never. This is the first time. Who is she, really?” someone else questioned.
Their voices weren’t particularly quiet, and I heard nearly everything they said. I simply ignored it all.
After I exited the car, Vincent leaned close and whispered to me, “Crowds always bring gossip, don’t let it affect you. From the beginning,
you’ve been the only woman in my heart, honey.”
Whether he was sincere or not, I didn’t focus much on his words. With my arm linked through Vincent’s, we both entered the auction
hall, drawing everyone’s gaze.
The auction hadn’t officially begun yet, but the platform was already arranged with various items, mostly jewelry. The hall was gradually
filling with attendees, and reporters were positioning cameras in the rear.
Vincent guided me to our seats in the front row. The hall was enormous, easily holding over a thousand people, but there were only four
premium spots, and we occupied two of them.
Unlike outside, the auction hall was actually quite peaceful–none of that gossip chatter could be heard here.

A disturbance suddenly erupted outside, followed by a shout. “Zain Jacob! It’s Zain Jacob and his beloved woman!”
I caught that portion of the conversation, and moments later, Zain and Joanna appeared at the entrance.
Zain, dressed in a crisp black suit, looked effortlessly attractive, while Joanna, in a white dress and silver heels, radiated elegance and
sophistication.
They immediately captured everyone’s focus, even the reporters who quickly started taking pictures.
With everyone watching, Joanna took Zain’s arm and they both walked to the final two premium seats.
When they sat down, both Zain and Joanna spotted Vincent and me sitting close by. But neither of them acknowledged the other. It was
as if we were complete strangers.
My marriage to Zain had been carefully concealed, and except for family and close friends, virtually no one knew we were married. In
reality, we were far from what anyone would call a conventional couple.
The hall, which had been relatively quiet moments before, became more animated after their arrival.
“Zain really cares for Joanna–he brings her everywhere. If only I could be Joanna, how wonderful would that be?” someone sighed.
“Unfortunately we’re not that fortunate,” someone else sighed.
“I’m so envious just thinking about it. That’s Zain we’re discussing–the wealthiest and most powerful man in Oakwood,” someone else
added.
“They look ideal together–one in black, one in white. They truly make a beautiful couple,” another person observed.
Joanna and I were seated in the center, with Zain on one side and Vincent on the other.
As Joanna settled down, I discretely moved closer to Vincent, not wanting to be near Joanna. I simply couldn’t manage to feel any
warmth for Joanna who had interfered with my marriage.
With both Zain and Vincent now present, the auction’s host stepped onto the stage and began explaining the auction procedures and
presenting the items available for bidding.
Noticing me leaning slightly closer to him, Vincent smiled faintly and leaned in to whisper, “See anything that catches your eye?”
