The entire process was smooth and decisive. Half an hour later, Leilani signed the contract and swiped her card.
The dealership manager personally came over to shake Leilani's hand, beaming from ear to ear. "Ms. Sloan, thank you so much for your trust in choosing our dealership. We are processing the temporary tags right now. You'll be able to drive it off the lot in just a moment."
Leilani nodded and sat in the VIP lounge to drink a cup of coffee. The temporary tags were handled incredibly fast; within three minutes, Leilani's new car was ready to go.
Meanwhile, the salespeople from the dealership across the street were standing at their door, watching helplessly as Leilani walked out of the Bentley showroom. She was followed by the manager and staff, who respectfully saw her to the car.
"Holy crap... did that girl actually buy it?"
"Does she really have that much money?"
"No wonder she was so calm when she faced off with Brenda earlier. She actually has the means."
"Damn! A Bentley paid in full? That's roughly four million dollars."
Listening to the discussion, the salesman who had rejected Leilani earlier turned green. He was kicking himself.
Brenda and Beatty also witnessed the entire scene. Their expressions froze.
Leilani sat in the driver's seat, rolled down the window, and cast a meaningful glance in their direction. The corners of her lips curled up slightly before she stepped on the gas and sped away.
The salesman looked like he was about to cry. "B-but... Brenda was here..."
Brenda was a VIP client and a friend of the owner; he hadn't dared to speak up. Besides, the manager had given him a look earlier, signaling his approval of the situation.
Mentioning Brenda only made the manager's face darker. He couldn't openly criticize her, but he could certainly take it out on the staff.
He glared viciously at the employees. "Just because someone says something, you just follow along? Don't you know how to be smart? Can't you adapt to the situation? I don't know why we hired you useless idiots!"
The scolded employees didn't speak, but they were rolling their eyes internally. They huddled in the corner, whispering complaints. It sounded as if the manager hadn't been the one bowing and scraping to Brenda just moments ago.
