The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 185

This led many to underestimate her, wondering how Leilani, with her non-traditional background, could possibly know so much medical theory.

But Leilani was right. For HIT patients on ECMO, the first choice for anticoagulation should be Bivalirudin, not Argatroban. As an attending physician at Alloy City General Hospital, Zeus shouldn't have made such a basic error.

And what was with his aggressive tone just now?

Wait, wasn't he supposed to be Leilani's brother?

Observing the way Zeus spoke to Leilani, Floyd thought they didn't seem like family at all—they seemed more like enemies. It was as if he were terrified Leilani would ruin him.

Floyd's white eyebrows knitted into a knot. He pushed Zeus's resume to the side.

Zeus's heart skipped a beat.

The next second, Floyd slid the resume in front of Leilani. "Leilani, why don't you ask a few questions?"

Zeus snapped his head up, staring daggers at Leilani.

Leilani didn't stand on ceremony. She took the file, glanced at it, and spoke calmly. The ensuing scene was brutal. She showed no intention of going easy on Zeus.

"First-line medication for CMV infection after heart transplantation?"

Zeus fell silent, unable to answer.

"What about drug-resistant strains?"

Silence stretched in the room.

"Besides, Mr. Sloan, you seem a bit too agitated. An emotionally unstable person isn't fit to be a doctor."

She dropped that comment lightly, then turned to look at Floyd. "What do you think?"

Floyd had frowned the moment Zeus began his meltdown. His impatience was now unconcealed. Letting Leilani continue the interview was his decision. Zeus questioning Leilani's competence was effectively questioning his judgment.

Moreover, instead of reflecting on his own lack of knowledge, Zeus lashed out at the interviewer. With that kind of temperament, he would never want such a person on his team.

Floyd closed Zeus's file with a look of disappointment, his tone cold.

"Dr. Sloan, allowing Leilani to interview you was my decision. If you have an issue, direct it at me, not her. Leaving your professional skills aside for a moment, your temperament needs work. I don't think you are suitable for my team given your current state of mind."
