The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 276

To avoid giving herself away in front of Yvonne, she had to force a smile. "That... that's wonderful..."

Yvonne suddenly stood up, approaching her step by step. Tamara instinctively retreated until her back hit the wall.

Yvonne looked down at her, her voice ice-cold. "Tamara, although I don't remember what happened back then, there is one thing I am very clear about!"

She stared at Tamara, enunciating every word clearly. "The person who pushed me down the stairs was definitely not Leilani."

Yvonne's cold expression was terrifyingly similar to how she was four years ago, back when she still had her memories. Tamara's pupils dilated in fear, her fingernails digging painfully into her palms. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Yvonne sneered. "Whether it's nonsense or not, I'll know once I regain my memory."

She leaned close to Tamara's ear, lowering her voice. "When that time comes, I will uncover the truth and clear Leilani's name."

Tamara's face turned ghastly pale, and her body trembled.

Just then, footsteps sounded from upstairs. Milford was coming down.

Tamara felt like she had been granted amnesty, but her current demeanor was far too guilty to face Milford. She abruptly pushed Yvonne away and frantically grabbed her purse. "Yvonne, I just remembered I have something to handle. Please tell your brother I had to run."

Without waiting for a response, she rushed out the door without looking back, even forgetting the wedding documents she had brought.

When Milford reached the bottom of the stairs, he only saw Tamara's retreating figure fleeing in a panic.

He automatically assumed Yvonne had gotten into another conflict with her. He frowned and looked at his sister. "What happened? What did you say to Tamara this time?"

Tamara walked down the corridor in her stilettos, her heels clicking sharply against the tile floor. She wore an expression of perfectly measured concern, holding a bouquet of fresh lilies.

She stopped a passing nurse, her voice gentle. "Excuse me, is Dr. Larson in? I'm Yvonne's future sister-in-law. I heard she was discharged today, and I wanted to ask about her recovery progress."

The nurse looked her over, recognizing her as the Sloan family heiress who frequently appeared in the financial headlines, and nodded quickly. "Dr. Larson is in his office. I'll take you there."

Inside the office, Dr. Larson was organizing medical records. When Tamara entered, he immediately recognized her as Milford's fiancée.

After all, the last time Tamara had tried to visit Yvonne by disguising herself as a nurse and getting caught by security, it had made quite an impression.

Dr. Larson stood up immediately to greet her. "Ms. Sloan, what brings you here?"
