Ever since Tamara had returned to the Sherwood family, Fitch had often brought home supplements for her meals. This wasn't new, so why was Gloria asking about it now?
Fitch paused, then smiled.
“It wasn’t all me. Many of my business partners know Tamara is pregnant and gave me gifts for her. She’s the only one in the house who can use these things right now, so I just brought them home on my way.”
“After all, she’s pregnant. She needs to mind her nutrition.”
“Nutrition?”
Gloria scoffed, finally turning to face him.
“Fitch, have you forgotten what she did to Yvonne?”
The way Tamara was being treated now was even better than how Gloria herself had been treated when she was pregnant with Milford.
If Tamara hadn't done those things to Yvonne Sherwood, Gloria might not have said anything.

“Fitch, have you forgotten you have a daughter out there?”
It was the same old argument.
After years of marriage, Fitch knew Yvonne was Gloria's biggest concern.
His recent attention toward Tamara had clearly triggered her.
Sighing, Fitch sat beside her and took her hand, his voice softening.
“Gloria, I know you’re angry.”
“But the baby Tamara is carrying is Milford’s child, a Sherwood by blood…”
“The plan is at a critical stage right now. Tamara and her baby are still useful. If you can just be patient for a little while longer, once this is all over…”
He paused, his tone firm. “I promise, you will never see her again.”
Gloria turned away, staring out the window into the dark night. After a long moment, she finally said, “...You’d better be right.”
Fitch knew she was conceding. He gently patted her back. “Go to sleep. Don’t overthink it.”
Gloria said nothing more, simply pulling the covers up and turning her back to him.
Fitch looked at her rigid posture and thought of his daughter, who was still not home.
He sighed silently.
It was time to speed things up.
If this continued, the Sherwood family would cease to feel like a home.
While Tamara was living comfortably at the Sherwood estate...
