The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 829

"What's the rush?"

Seeing him like this only made Milo more arrogant. Instead of moving, he deliberately blocked the path, signaling the red-haired guy to block the other side. They had him completely boxed in.

"It's been so long since we caught up. What's wrong with having a little chat?"

"Who knows if we'll ever cross paths again after today?"

He was getting payback for all the times Clive had acted like he owned the world.

As his former rival—and someone with a serious vendetta—Milo wasn't about to let this golden opportunity slip through his fingers.

His tone shifted, his voice carrying clearly to the growing crowd of onlookers. "Oh, wait. I heard you've been getting awfully close to some big shots lately. Just the other day, someone mentioned you were deeply involved with Winifred."

"I was wondering how you weren't stressing over the massive breach-of-contract fines you owed the agency. Turns out you've got a sugar mommy footing the bill."

"I guess you really are a visionary. Why work hard when you can just sleep with a rich old woman and get straight to the top?"

"If my career weren't doing so amazingly well right now, and if I wasn't utterly repulsed by the idea of sleeping with old ladies, I might have just followed in your footsteps."

Through his fake compliments, Milo mercilessly exposed the scandal of Clive being a kept man after his retirement from showbiz. The pedestrians immediately stopped in their tracks, eager to eavesdrop on the juicy gossip.

But Milo wasn't finished tearing him apart.

"But hey, the industry is unpredictable. If I ever fall off, you'll have to introduce me to your connections."

"Don't forget about your old buddy when you're rolling in it."

By the time he finished, the crowd was looking at Clive with visible disgust.
