The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 833

"Leilani, make sure you eat up," Dante urged. "The meat near the belly is the most tender part. It's delicious."

Leilani quickly picked up the serving fork and gently lifted a generous, perfectly cooked piece of the fish, making sure there were no bones before placing it onto Dante's plate. "You have the first bite, Dante."

Dante beamed, his eyes crinkling with joy. "Thank you, thank you. I can manage, don't worry about me."

"You two dig in as well. Don't just fuss over an old man. Eat up."

He watched Leilani with a fond gaze, but after a moment, his brow furrowed in concern.

It hadn't been that long since he last saw her, but her face looked a bit thinner. She was already slender, and any lost weight was immediately noticeable.

Unable to hold back, he asked, "Leilani, have you lost weight again?"

"Are you working yourself to the bone at that clinic of yours?"

"I know you're young, but there's no need to push yourself so hard!"

"Health is your greatest asset. All the success in the world means nothing if your body gives out."

"You're a doctor—you should know this better than anyone."

Leilani felt a rush of warmth at his genuine concern. A soft smile touched her lips. "I'm fine, really. Please don't worry. It's just been a bit hot lately, and my appetite hasn't been great. I'll be back to normal in a few days."

Sensing the shift in conversation, Callahan smoothly placed a piece of glazed short rib onto Leilani's plate before chiming in. "Grandpa, I'm actually taking Leilani abroad with me tomorrow to handle some business. We just wanted to stop by and let you know."

Callahan didn't dare tell him they were heading to Northern Myanor. The situation there was chaotic and dangerous. Knowing the truth would only give his grandfather a heart attack, so it was better to use a safer destination as a cover story.

Hearing this, Dante set down his fork, looking a little disappointed.

"Abroad?"
