The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 883

Zadie was far from satisfied with Josiah's setup.

How many people could this "tiny place" even hold?

There was no walk-in closet, no oversized luxury bathtub, no maid's quarters. The mattresses in the guest rooms still had the plastic wrap on them.

How were they supposed to live here?

Her mind raced. Zeus had been a star doctor for years. His income was fantastic, and she remembered hearing his apartment wasn't that small. Surely, it had to be better than Josiah's, right?

At the very least... the interior design had to be more refined.

She subconsciously assumed that since Zeus was a clean freak with high standards, his home would be infinitely more comfortable.

Making a split-second decision, Zadie rushed forward and grabbed Zeus's arm.

"Zeus, are you... are you leaving already? Why are you in such a rush?"

"You see the state of things here. Why don't I... why don't I come stay with you for a few days? I can take care of you. You work so hard, I'm sure you don't even have time to eat properly."

Feeling her grip on his arm, Zeus stiffened.

He smoothly pulled his arm out of her grasp, forcing a conflicted look onto his face.

"Mom, it wouldn't be convenient for you to stay with me."

"The only good thing about my place is how close it is to the hospital."
