Before he could finish, the park manager came rushing over in a shuttle cart.

Dustin’s face finally eased up. He was just about to demand answers from the manager-after all, he’d slipped the guy a fat envelope to book out the whole Ferris wheel park for tonight.

But instead, the manager came over all respectful to Barnaby and Hannah. “Mr. Thole, Ms. Carter, sorry for keeping you waiting. That was my bad-I didn’t notice my staff canceled your reservation. As compensation, tonight the whole park is yours, free of charge. Please don’t hold it against us.”
