“Zora!” Hallie greeted Zora cheerfully, overflowing with delight. She was overjoyed, glad that she was finally going to have a young sister.

“Uncle Jeremy, come on in.” Leighton nodded at Jeremy to invite him inside.

Facing his family, he shed his sharp and dignified aura from the business world, replaced by endless tenderness towards his wife and daughter. His hands were still filled with various gifts, including special presents he brought back for Zora from abroad.

“How’s Zora getting on? We’ve got all the legal paperwork ready, and I’ve already reached out to the officials to sort out the guardianship transfer procedures.”

Jeremy had heard from his wife days ago that she had taken Zora as her goddaughter. His family affairs were always decided by his wife, and he only wished for her happiness.

Right after he got off the plane, his wife and daughter kept talking highly of Zora. Even without meeting her yet, he had already grown fond of her and trusted their judgment completely.

“You will definitely take a liking to her. You’ll never regret becoming Zora’s legal guardian.”

Leighton softened his facial features the moment Zora was mentioned.

“If you like her, then she has to be a good kid,” Jeremy said.

He noticed the shift in Leighton’s mood and felt a moment of surprise.

“Chet will be here soon.” Jeremy walked into the room and chatted with Leighton casually.

Jeremy greeted every member of the Marlow family politely.

“Jeremy, when did you get back? Come take a seat quickly,” Floyd greeted him warmly.
