“We want to sign up!” Easton raised his hand firmly.
“Zora, wait here for us. We’ll win that lantern for you.” Hallie gently stroked Zora’s cheek.
“I can join in too.”

“You know how to play musical instruments?” Hallie felt a twinge of pity thinking about Zora’s ordinary living background.
“Yeah… I know how to play that one.” Zora pointed toward the harp on the stage.
“Great, then let’s sign up together.” None of them doubted Zora’s words. Right as the previous group finished their performance, the five teenagers stepped onto the stage one after another.
“Are you here for a group performance?” The event host looked at the handsome boys and gorgeous girls in front of him, utterly amazed by their outstanding looks.
They nodded in unison.
“Got it. You have three minutes to get ready. Feel free to pick any instruments placed beside the stage. The show will start once time is up.” The host gestured toward the full set of musical instruments nearby.
“You guys handle the music, and I’ll do the sword dance. Wonderful melodies deserve matching splendid moves!”
Easton glanced at his friends. Hallie chose the piano, Zora kept the harp, Maya picked a violin, and Felix took a saxophone. Easton instantly drew his sword from his waist.
The audience below watched them get ready, growing more and more expectant of their show.
“Shall we start?”
They agreed that Zora would kick off the performance first, so everyone could adjust their rhythm according to her playing skills.
Zora lightly brushed the strings of the harp. Though this instrument was not as smooth as the one she used back in Maplewood, she still felt familiar playing it.
“We’re all set, Zora.” Easton got ready for his impromptu sword dance.
“The competition officially begins!” The host shouted through the loudspeaker.
As the announcement ended, everyone settled into their positions, all eyes naturally falling on
Zora.

Beneath the soft stage lights, Zora lowered her head slightly and plucked the harp strings with her slender fingers. Clear, melodious, and ethereal tunes drifted across the whole venue.
Anyone who knew music could tell at a glance that Zora was a professional player.
Hallie and the others watched her quietly with indulgent smiles on their faces. Zora was truly multi-talented and full of surprises.
Easton started his sword dance without delay, reciting powerful verses in a clear, youthful voice.
Every sword move he made was neat and sharp, proving he had practiced really hard.
Zora slowly softened her harp melody to blend in harmoniously.
Deep tunes flowed out from Hallie’s piano as she played gently with her slender fingers.
Bright, lively violin music echoed next, and bright, youthful smiles bloomed on Easton’s face.
Melodious saxophone notes blended smoothly into the ensemble.
Zora’s harp, Hallie’s piano, Maya’s violin, and Felix’s saxophone blended perfectly together.
Easton sped up his sword dancing pace, leaving the audience totally dazzled and immersed in the stunning scene.
The crowd felt like they were enjoying a formal professional stage show.
Easton glanced back at his friends; they exchanged knowing smiles and all focused fully on their instruments.

They chanted passionate, youthful lines in unison while all kinds of musical notes intertwined beautifully. The crisp sound of sword dancing made every audience member feel passionate and inspired.
The last line faded away, leaving only lingering gentle instrument melodies floating in the air.
“Bravo!”
The moment their performance ended, thunderous applause burst out from the crowd. Their victory was unquestionable.
“Thank you, everyone.” The five stood side by side with bright smiles.
“Congratulations on winning the championship. This lantern is yours now.”
The host ordered staff to bring down the lantern and walked over with sincere admiration.
“Thank you so much.” Hallie took the lantern and handed it straight to Zora without hesitation.

“We have many other delicate lanterns here as well. You can pick any you like.”
The host could easily tell they joined the contest purely to win the gift for Zora, sighing softly at how precious youthful friendship was.
There was only one boneless lantern, yet plenty of other gorgeous lanterns were available for selection.
Everyone picked one they favored happily.
“Would you like to take a group photo? We offer free photo shooting service and can mail the developed photos to you later,” the host smiled and suggested warmly.
“Sure thing.” They lined up neatly, with Zora standing right in the middle, Felix and Easton on her left side, and Hallie plus Maya on her right.
“Everyone, get ready. Three, two, one!”
“Cheese!” They cheered cheerfully.
“Yay!”
