Tall. Broad-shouldered. Every step confident enough to silence an entire room. His coat hung open, revealing a black shirt stretched across his chest, the fabric darkened with a faint sheer of sweat that made him look… warm under the tavern lights. His dark hair fell in perfectly careless disarray, and his gaze swept the place with a kind of authority that made my stomach drop.
To his left was an older Alpha-sharper features, an expression to calm to be harmless. Blond hair slicked back, a few damp strands stuck to his temple, sweat still clinging to him like they’d been running.
To his right was another Alpha, completely different.
Hair black as midnight. Posture immaculate. A strong jaw. Sweat lid slowly down his neck and disappeared beneath his open collar His face was so perfectly composed he looked like a prince out of a storybook…
If princes were dangerous enough to swallow kingdoms whole.
One step behind them was the youngest. Light brown hair falling over a damp forehead, quick eyes that looked almost amused. Relaxed posture-but there was something vibrating beneath his skin, a restless energy as intense as the others.
Together, the four of them were a wall of muscle and dominance no one in the room could ignore.
And then Atila’s eyes found mine.
The impact stole my breath. He didn’t have to lift a finger-just looking at me cracked something open in my chest. My body reacted before my brain could catch up, and I turned my face away, shrinking on instinct, like my bones remembered how to fold under authority.
But he was already moving toward us.
The pub parted for him like it was natural. Like everyone recognized the true owner of this territory. Every step echoed
inside me.
He stopped beside our table, his shadow falling over my lap.
“Well. This is a surprise. His voice was low, rough, effortless. Loks like Maya barely arrived and she’s already enjoying Moonville”
Heat climbed up my neck, and Miss Langford answered for me, oft and careful.
“We went shopping, sir. And we decided to eat before returning
“Relax, Langford. A trace of humor touched his voice “I told you to make sure my guest was comfortable. I just didn’t expect her to get comfortable this fast Comfortable enough to be drinking on her first night in town.”
My face burned.
“That drink isn’t mine/

“Oh? It isn’t?
“It’s mine, Langford snapped too quickly. “I’m having it after 1 fish my beer”
She was nervous.
Way too nervous.
Why
Why was she so terrified he’d think someone was flirting with my
Was that… not allowed?
Like he’d heard the thought, Atila’s expression hardened. His gaze swept the room-not just looked. Hunted.
Until it landed on the blond at the back.
Vincent
And the shift in Atila’s energy was instant.
Silent
Deadly.
What is he doing?
The other three Alphas reached our table.

The youngest-light brown hair-dragged a chair over and dropped into it right beside me, grinning like he lived for trouble
“So, are you gonna introduce us to the pretty lady?”
I barely had time to inhale.
Atila grabbed him by the shirt and yanked him back with a low sharl that raised every hair on my body.
“Don’t even think about touching her, Kael.”
Kael lifted his hands, laughing
“Easy, my lord I’m just being polite.”
The older Alpha tilted his chin.
“And who is she?”
Instinctively, I looked at Aula.
He cleared his throat like he was choosing every word carefully
“Her name is Maya. She is the Melroses’ eldest daughter”
The reaction was immediate
The Melroses daughter” Kael’s eyes widened, grin still in place. How is that possible? I’ve never even heard of her

The only one who didn’t move was the impossibly beautiful Alpha. He watched me like he… recognized something. The way
his gaze held mme sent heat skimming over my skin-and it male no sense. I’d never seen that man in my life.
If I had. I would’ve remembered.
The older one stepped closer, studying me from head to toe.
“If she’s the eldest then this omega would be your-”
“Yes” Atila’s voice cut clean as a blade. “Exactly what you’re thinking.”
Kael let out a disbelieving laugh.
So you were never widowed? The legend was alive this whole time. Wow. That deserves a toast.”
Legend? Widowed?
“I don’t understand anything. I whispered to Miss Langford.
Before she could answer. Kael bounced right in front of me like overexcited puppy in a grown man’s body
“Nice to meet you. Maya. I’m Kael-the youngest. That’s Silas,” pointed at the older one, “and the grumpy prince over there is Cassian. We’re basically brothers to that giant muit.”
He jerked his head toward Atila.
Atila narrowed his eyes.
“Kael, behave. You’re going to scare her.”
“Scare her? Me? Never” Kael shot me a mischievous look.
Cassian spoke for the first time, his voice low and smooth and unfairly beautiful.
It’s a pleasure to meet you, Maya.”
A strange silence slid between us.
And that was when Atila picked up the glass on the table and pulled a small note from underneath it.
My stomach dropped.
Damn it I hadn’t seen that.
He read it.
The air changed.
