**Selene’s POV**

I find myself perched on Cassian’s lap, the bustling cafeteria around us fading into a blur as my lips press against his. My heart races, and for a fleeting moment, everything feels electric. But just as I’m lost in the heat of the moment, I catch sight of my sister, Skyla, entering the room, her twin, Alexia, by her side.

In an instant, a surge of defiance courses through me. Without pausing to think, I unleash a barrage of insults aimed directly at her. The laughter that erupts from our table is loud and raucous, filling the air with a triumphant energy.

I know it’s cruel. I know that beneath this facade of bravado, she is, after all, my sister.

But in this moment, I can’t bring myself to care.

Honestly, she’s brought this on herself.

Dad dotes on her like she’s the sun and the stars, his little perfect princess who can do no wrong. It’s infuriating. Sure, Skyla excels in school, with her straight A’s and her unwavering adherence to every rule laid down by our father. She’s the obedient daughter, the one who always does exactly what is expected of her. But what about me?

I’m his daughter too.

Yet, what do I get in return for my existence?

While Sebastian and Skyla bask in the glow of brand-new cars gifted to them for their upcoming birthdays, I’m left in the dust. I’ve totaled four cars, each one an unfortunate mishap, and now I’m forced to endure the humiliation of carpooling to school with Skyla—simply because Dad refuses to buy me another.

We’re rich, for goodness’ sake.

He could easily buy me a car without breaking a sweat. But no, he insists that if I want a new one, I should follow in their footsteps and earn the money myself by working part-time at his company.

Absolutely not.

Why should I toil away like some lowly pack pup when I have a destiny waiting for me?

I am destined to become the Luna of the Bloodmoon Pack—Cassian’s Luna.

Their family is just as affluent as ours, and once we’re mated, I won’t have to lift a finger to get what I want.
