The Rejected Principessa Returns novel Chapter 111

Chapter 15

After several days of “recovery” and “preparations,” the Sloane’s formal matchmaking gala was held once again in grand fashion.

The venue was upgraded to the ballroom of the Sloane Group’s most luxurious seven-star hotel, with security tightened several times over and the guest list even more strictly filtered.

Adrian, still weak after his high fever had subsided and barely able to stand, defied his family’s pleas and had his friends drag him to the event.

His face was pale, dark shadows under his eyes, his figure noticeably thinner.

The once poised and proud man had been replaced by someone hollow-eyed, paranoid, and broken.

His gaze locked on the woman seated at the center of the hall-radiant, composed, effortlessly conversing with elites from all fields.

His heart felt like it was burning over open flames, scorched repeatedly.

Jealousy and despair nearly devoured him.

He watched as other men surrounded her, presenting lavish gifts, showing off their talents, and even playing

piano pieces on the spot for her.

She, though still calm and reserved, would occasionally nod or offer a polite smile.

Every small interaction was a needle in Adrian’s heart.

Over and over again, he wanted to rush forward, to drag her away from that stage, to scream at everyone

that she was his.

But the guards flanking her had sharp eyes and colder presence.

The moment he so much as twitched, they locked onto him-ready to escort him out without hesitation.

Then came the gift presentation.

Adrian took a deep breath and stepped forward, holding a velvet box that contained a legendary diamond set

known as the “Moonlight Goddess.”

He had emptied nearly half his private vault to obtain it, hoping this stunning gift might earn him even a sliver of forgiveness.

“Sien… Miss Sloane,” his voice cracked, hoarse with pleading, “this is for you…”

Sienna didn’t even glance at the box in his hands.

She merely nodded to the assistant beside her.

The assistant stepped forward with a blank expression, received the box without emotion, recorded it like

any other item, and then placed it atop the growing mountain of untouched gifts.

No special treatment.

Nothing to show it mattered more than the rest.

Adrian’s heart plummeted. His fingertips trembled.

At that moment, Sienna’s eyes slowly swept across the hall.

Finally, they landed on a ghost-pale figure trying desperately to shrink into the crowd-Celeste had somehow slipped in.

Sienna’s lips curved slightly, coldly.

Her voice, carried through the microphone, echoed clearly across the ballroom.

“Tonight’s banquet is filled with esteemed guests. But before we proceed, there’s something that needs to be cleared up, because I won’t let anyone here be misled any further.”

The moment she finished, the ballroom’s massive screen lit up.

A clear audio recording played through the speakers. The exact words Celeste had spat at Sienna in the

restroom during the auction.

“I’ve slept with Adrian countless times! I gave him a son and a daughter!”

“The Prescotts never saw you as worthy! They forced him to have heirs with me!”

“In his heart, you, Sienna Sloane is just a kept little pet-never meant to be a wife or mother. He’d only marry

someone like me, someone who’s actually his equal!”

Each sentence was crystal clear. It was cruel and venomous.

Gasps filled the room.

All eyes shot toward Celeste, whose face had turned bloodless.

“No! It’s fake! It’s a setup!” she screamed, trying to rush the stage.

But the screen switched again-this time showing surveillance footage.

It captured Celeste slapping herself across the face… and then instantly breaking into tears, pretending to be

the victim.

The angle was perfect.

The footage irrefutable.

The truth was revealed.

Under the night sky, he let out a broken roar-raw, hoarse, animalistic-a sound of anguish and disbelief that

faded into the dark.

He dragged himself up, staring at the ornate gates with bloodshot eyes, his breathing ragged.

“Sienna! Sienna Sloane! Come out! Please, just hear me out!”

He pounded on the gates, over and over, his voice shredding until it was nothing but a rasp.

Security guards appeared from the shadows, their tone cold and professional.

“Sir, please leave immediately, or we will remove you by force.”

The words cut through him like ice.

The fight drained from his limbs. He stumbled back, his body collapsing into the driver’s seat of his car.

His phone buzzed violently-Celeste’s name flashing on the screen.

He didn’t even look. One tap, and the call ended.

Panic rose in him like a tidal wave, flooding every corner of his mind.

He couldn’t believe it-he refused to.

The woman he once thought couldn’t live without him, the girl he called low-born and dispensable-she was the daughter of the Sloane family.

And what had he done to her?

He started the engine, the roar of the car echoing his madness, but he had no destination-only the echo of

her name in his head.

He dialed her number again and again, but each time, the same mechanical voice replied:

“The number you have dialed is currently unavailable.”

He flooded her with messages-pleas, apologies, declarations of love-all unanswered. All in vain.

Until at last, something inside him snapped. He shouted to his assisstant, “Find her! Do you hear me? I want every damn detail! Where did the Sloanes hide her?!”

Adrian’s was distorted-raw, trembling, consumed by terror of losing her forever.
