Chapter 19
Sienna always wore sharp, custom-tailored suits. Her makeup was flawless, her expression calm and
distant.
Amid a sea of veteran businessmen, she navigated with practiced ease, exuding poise and dominance.
She never spared him a glance, as if Prescott Enterprises’ ruin had nothing to do with her.
But every time her gaze happened to sweep across the room in his direction, even for just a second, Adrian
felt his chest seize like it was being gripped in a vise.
Gone was the love, the hurt, the resentment.
All that remained was an absolute, bone-deep indifference.
It was as if he and all of the Prescotts-meant nothing. Not enough for even a flicker of emotion.
That indifference cut deeper than any revenge.
Prescott Enterprises was unraveling by the day. Major projects stalled, debt notices piled up, and stock
prices plunged.
There were even whispers of a potential takeover.
Cornered, Adrian cast aside the last remnants of his pride.
He found out Sienna’s usual exit route from the office.
The moment her bulletproof Maybach emerged from the underground garage, he rushed forward and threw
himself in front of it, arms outstretched.
Screeching brakes tore through the air.
The tinted window rolled down slowly, revealing her flawless profile, serene as ever.
She didn’t look at him. Her gaze stayed fixed ahead, as if he were nothing more than an obstacle in traffic.
Adrian stumbled to the side of the car and gripped the window frame. His chest heaved, his voice cracked
and broken.
“Sienna… that’s enough… please, it’s enough…”
“I don’t care about the Prescott Group anymore. Let it fall. Let it be bought. Do whatever you want to me. Ruin me. Leave me with nothing. You can even kill me if that’s what you want.”
“I just… I just can’t bear to see you destroy yourself like this.”
He stared at her perfect side profile, convinced she had to be hurting too. Convinced she was punishing
herself as much as him.

At last, Sienna turned her head and looked at him.
Her gaze was cold. No emotion, no recognition. Only the faintest hint of amusement, as if watching
something utterly pathetic.
She let out a soft, sharp laugh.
“Destroying myself?” Her voice was quiet, but slicing. “Mr. Prescott, you really overestimate your worth… and
underestimate me.”
She leaned forward slightly, meeting his eyes.
“Watching everything you care about-your family’s legacy, your pride, your arrogance-collapse piece by piece in my hands, until it’s nothing but trash… that’s my greatest pleasure now.”
Without waiting for a reply, she looked ahead again.
“Drive.”
The window rolled up, sealing him out.
The black Maybach swerved around him and disappeared down the road, leaving Adrian standing there in
the middle of the lane.
His knees gave out. He sank to the cold concrete, empty and destroyed.
Her voice still echoed in his ears. “That’s my greatest pleasure.”
Just as Prescott Enterprises teetered on the brink and Adrian drowned in despair, one final blow landed.
News broke that Alexander de Villiers, heir to one of Europe’s oldest financial dynasties, had arrived in States
for a high-profile visit.
Among his scheduled appearances, the most buzzed-about was a private dinner with Sienna.
Paparazzi captured them on the terrace of one of the city’s most exclusive rooftop restaurants.
Alexander was charming, refined, and impossibly elegant. His gaze, fixed on Sienna, brimmed with
admiration.
Sienna, still calm as ever, appeared relaxed for once. And in one moment-just one-the corners of her lips
lifted into a faint smile.
That single curve, subtle and restrained, was enough to send certain people spiraling.
The media erupted.
They called it a meeting of royalty-“The King and the Queen.”
Speculations about a merger, or even a possible engagement, flooded the headlines.
