Chapter 595 Look So Defeated
Chapter 595 Look So Defeated
Drop–dead gorgeous, breathtaking, one of a kind, stunning beyond words.
No. Draven decided none of those clichés fit her.
Because no matter how many compliments you piled on, they all felt dull and lifeless compared to her.
“Let’s go.”
Cassia lifted her skirt as she stood, then turned to look at Draven.
Just a moment ago, he’d only seen her through the mirror. Now, she was facing him head–on.
Draven froze, completely captivated, not even realizing he’d already risen from his chair.
Cassia was speechless. She grew a little self–conscious under his stare, her gaze dipping slightly.
Just earlier, she’d been the one staring at him without restraint. Now, the tables had turned.
What goes around comes around.
“Come on, it’s already 7.30 p.m.,” Cassia urged when she couldn’t take it anymore.
Being bathed in the man’s intense, unapologetic gaze made her think of the night he’d held her in his arms.

A shy, almost girlish feeling bubbled up from deep inside her. It was the first time Cassia had ever felt something like this. It was fresh and a little surprising.
“Yeah.” Draven snapped out of it, and seeing her rare moment of shyness, he smiled.
The sun had completely set, night falling as a few silver–white stars dotted the sky over Vrastin.
Seven arrived at Sterling’s hotel suite, unlocking the door and stepping inside.
Sterling wasn’t in the living room, but the bedroom door was tightly shut.
Seven didn’t even need to think twice. He headed straight for the bedroom and knocked.
“Hey, kid, wanna go out for a bit?”
After a while, the door cracked open, and Sterling peeked at Seven through the gap.
Seven let out a soft chuckle.
He knew the kid would be in the bedroom.
“Come on, I’ll take you to check out the Abyss competition venue. If nothing’s changed, they should be doing rehearsals around
now.”
As the owner of Blackwater, Seven was supposed to be present for the team’s rehearsal anyway.
Draven had taken Cassia to the Greys‘ banquet, so there was no need for him there. Since he had nothing better to do and was used.

to having the kid around, going alone would feel oddly lonely. Might as well bring Sterling along and show him something new
Besides, the kid couldn’t stay cooped up in his room. All day, he needed some fresh air.
Sterling said nothing.
I’m not interested in games. Can I say no?
But the moment he looked at Seven, he remembered how the man had been tirelessly helping him manage the company these past few days without asking for anything in return.
Sterling made up his mind. To show his gratitude, he’d treat Seven a little better.
“All right… Let’s go.”
“Great!” Seeing that Sterling was still in his pajamas, Seven added, “Go change. I’ll wait in the living room.”
“Okay.”
Sterling shut the door, got changed, and then left with Seven.
Seven drove his own car, taking Sterling straight to the Abyss competition venue.
After they arrived, Seven turned into a full–on tour guide, leading the kid around while talking nonstop, chattering away as he explained everything.
Between entertaining him and broadening his horizons, Seven felt more and more like a proper older brother.
Sterling trailed behind him like a little shadow, listening quietly. Whenever something confused him, he’d occasionally speak up and ask a question or two.
It was his first time experiencing the atmosphere of a true international city. He’d only ever seen places like this on TV or online.
Vrastin was nothing like Zrario.
If Zrario was a quiet stream beneath a small bridge, then Vrastin was a vast river under a blazing sunset.
Sterling wandered along, stopping every now and then, his eyes unable to take it all in. His hands would occasionally reach out, curiously touching this and that.
At the end of the day, he was still a kid. His curiosity was boundless.
In truth, Seven could tell the kid didn’t actually dislike going out. It was just his passive, introverted nature. If no one took the initiative to lead him, he might never bother stepping out to see the world on his own.
In that case, Seven would be that person.
The world was huge, filled with countless beautiful things. If the kid never went out to see it, wouldn’t that be a wasted life? The thought of showing him all the wonders this world had to offer made Seven feel excited just thinking about it
After finishing the tour, Seven didn’t feel comfortable leaving Sterling alone at the venue, so he grabbed him and headed straight backstage to find the organizers and discuss some matters related to the competition.
