Chapter 154 Blocked Again

Cassia had found a really nice villa online with beautiful scenery and a pond in the yard. Living there would definitely be comfortable.
But considering that Sterling would be living there alone, and he was just a ten–year–old boy, managing a house like that would be too much trouble. So villas and estates were out of the question.
Although she was fairly familiar with real estate, it would be better to consult someone who knew the field even better.
Cassia picked up her phone and sent a WhatsApp message to a man.
The man had some standing in the real estate business. She had met him back when she was investing in stocks, and they had a decent relationship.
“I want to buy a place.”
He replied almost instantly.
“You actually deigned to text me? Wow, you want to buy a place? What a coincidence, I’ve got properties under my name. Why don’t you just move in with me?”
Cassia replied, “Where’s a good area to buy?”
The man sent a voice message. “You won’t even take it for free. Typical Cassia, you’re always so stubborn. Anyway, I won’t ramble. If I ramble too much, you’ll block me again. So tell me, what’s your budget? You don’t exactly look loaded. Need me to lend you some money? Actually, forget that for now. Let’s get to the point. Are you living alone?”
Halfway through listening, Cassia genuinely had the urge to block him.
He talked too much nonsense.
She couldn’t say she’d be living alone, or he would definitely go on and on about it.
“Two people.”
The man’s voice was clearly filled with excitement, mixed with a hint of disappointment.
“You have a partner now? When did that happen? Ugh… And here I’ve been crushing on you for so long. Anyway, is it a guy or a girl?”

She had said “two people” specifically to avoid his endless chatter, but his gossipy nature hadn’t changed one bit.
She had blocked him several times before because he was so annoying.
Still, even though this guy rambled endlessly, he had learned his limits. To be precise, after being blocked countless times, he had finally learned his lesson. He made sure to include at least one useful piece of information for every three lines of nonsense. That was her tolerance threshold, a rule he had figured out through repeated blockings.
Cassia typed, “A guy.”
“A… a guy?!” The man was shocked.
“It’s over! It’s over! I’m heartbroken! Can you hear my heart shattering, my queen? How could you just abandon me like this?”
After sending that message, he suddenly realized he might have overdone the nonsense.
Uh… she probably didn’t block him, right?
After waiting a few seconds, he cautiously tried sending Cassia another message.
The message was sent, but there was only one gray check mark.
“What the hell!”
The handsome man cursed out loud. “She blocked me again!”
He knocked himself on the head in frustration. “Why the hell can’t I ever learn?”
Ugh… He’d have to seek other alternative ways to contact her again.
Who knew when Cassia would be in a good enough mood to contact him again?
Cassia continued searching on her computer and finally decided to buy a condominium.
Although condominiums were smaller, they had everything you needed and were convenient to live in.
If Sterling lived there and she hired a part–time housekeeper or helper, his daily life would be

Cassia selected a few condominiums from her investment portfolio and asked Nicole to help screen them first. Then she would pick the most suitable one.
Ding! A notification chimed on her phone.
Cassia assumed it was that chatty guy sending another message from another number. Without even glancing at it, she pushed back her chair, stood up, and walked toward her bed.
Just as she reached the bed, her phone on the desk started buzzing.
Cassia turned back to look at her phone.
It couldn’t be that guy calling, and it couldn’t be a telemarketer either.
She had installed a call–blocking app on her phone that she had coded herself.
Not to brag, but her program worked far better than any ordinary app.
At the very least, ever since she installed it, she hadn’t received a single spam call.
