The Returned Heiress Who Never Fit In novel Chapter 902

**TITLE: She Took 902**

**Chapter 902: Stella Takes Action**

Stella felt a bubbling frustration welling inside her, words escaping her lips in a silent scream. She had been on the phone with Tempest for what felt like an eternity, and his incredulity was pushing her to the edge.

Tempest’s voice came through the line, laced with disbelief. “You told me she had hypothermia in a cave on the cliff yesterday?”

Stella clenched her fists, her heart pounding. “Tempest, I know you’re her best friend, but please don’t just take her side of the story.”

His tone was accusatory, and it made her blood boil. How could he be so blind?

At that moment, she imagined reaching through the phone and shaking some sense into him. She had never encountered someone so infuriating!

“Fine, believe what you want,” she snapped, her anger boiling over.

With a decisive click, she ended the call, her mind racing. Tempest, of all people, still thought Rianne was merely acting out?

She recalled Rianne’s words from before she had left, how Tempest usually indulged her every whim. But when it came to the darker side of their world, particularly anything involving Ariana, Rianne was always the one left in the dust.

Stella’s frustration was like a live wire coursing through her. She struggled to contain her emotions, but the effort was futile.

Without a second thought, she dialed her contact in Yalvaria, and the call was answered almost immediately. “Miss,” came the familiar voice, steady and professional.

“Report Rianne’s case to the police!” Stella commanded, her voice sharp and unwavering.

There was a pause on the other end, a moment of hesitation. “…”

“And send those kidnappers straight to the police station! All of them!” she reiterated, her fury palpable.

How could Tempest be so naïve? How could he trust Ariana’s words without question?

Just yesterday, after Rianne had been kidnapped, the very kidnappers who had taken her had been caught red-handed by Stella’s team. They had just received Ariana’s money when they were apprehended, and her people had interrogated them mercilessly until they revealed Rianne’s location.

Meanwhile, Ariana had tried to reach out to them again, but they had ghosted her completely. The money she had placed in the offshore account remained untouched!

It was no wonder Ariana was spiraling into panic.

Stella’s thoughts raced as she considered the implications. Ariana had been searching for those men since yesterday, her anxiety palpable.

The fact that the kidnappers hadn’t taken the money was a glaring sign that something was terribly wrong. How could Ariana not be anxious? And now, Stella was ensuring they would face the consequences by sending everything to the police, including proof of the transaction!

“Understood,” came the reply from her contact, the voice steady but tinged with concern.

After hanging up, Stella remained a tempest of emotions. When Abraham walked back into the room, he immediately noticed her puffed-up cheeks, a clear sign of her distress.

“What’s wrong now? The baby will know. Don’t scare them, hm?” he said, pulling her hand towards him in a gesture of comfort.

Abraham had been doing his best to shield Stella from anything that might disturb her peace lately. Yet, here she was, once again engulfed in anger.

“It’s nothing,” she muttered, though the words felt hollow.

At that very moment, Mona was likely still racking her brain, trying to devise a plan to regain the household authority she had lost. Little did she know, the reason for her downfall was as clear as day!

Controlling the Tom family’s finances was essential for her to manipulate the funds needed for Reese’s plastic surgery, and without that power, she was floundering.

Abraham spent some time comforting Stella, and slowly, she felt her anger begin to dissipate.

Marie settled onto the sofa, and as Stella joined her, Abraham exchanged a knowing look with Derrick.

Without a word, Derrick followed Abraham into the study, leaving Stella and Marie to chat in peace.

“So? How did it go at the Tom family home last night?” Stella inquired, genuinely curious.

“After I took the household authority, Mona went absolutely crazy. She tried to cause trouble for me the moment she woke up this morning,” Marie replied, her voice laced with a mixture of amusement and disbelief.

To be honest, Marie had never cared much for the household authority within the Tom family before. It seemed like a trivial matter, and she had never felt the need to fight over such a minor benefit!

But Stella viewed it differently. While it was just a small advantage to Marie, to Mona, it was akin to clutching a bar of gold!

Hearing how Mona had been unable to contain her desperation this morning brought a smirk to Stella’s face.

“Back then, she ingratiated herself with Mr. Tom by playing the role of the sensible, obedient woman who didn’t care about his money or status,” Stella remarked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Marie scoffed, “If she didn’t want money or status, what did she want? The fact that he’s fifteen years older than her?”

It was absurd to think she didn’t want something!

“I might believe she didn’t care about status, but that was only when she was in front of Holt,” Stella countered, her eyes glinting with mischief.
