**TITLE: She Took 906**
**CONTENT: Chapter 906 His Karma**
Lana nestled deeper into Lina’s embrace, her small frame trembling as she looked up at her sister, desperation flickering in her eyes.
“Dad, is he…”
Has he truly lost his mind?
It was unmistakable now.
He has completely lost it.
Just take a look at his expression. The revelation of that report had struck her like a bolt of lightning, and she instinctively tightened her grip around Lina’s waist, seeking solace in her sister’s presence.
After a fit of manic laughter that echoed through the room, Dale’s gaze fell upon the two sisters, a twisted smile still lingering on his lips.
“Send them to be reunited with their mother and brother.”
Not his. None of them belong to him.
The stark reality was that the moment Lina had fled with Lana, a dark understanding settled over Dale. He had known they were guilty, yet he clung stubbornly to the hope that Artemis hadn’t completely forsaken him.
As long as even one of the children she bore was his, it would mean she hadn’t fully betrayed him!
But now, the truth had come crashing down around him…
Not a single one was his!
All the trust he had placed in her, the flickering hope he had subconsciously nurtured, was now utterly obliterated.
Not one child belonged to him.
The woman he had cherished, the one he believed he held in the palm of his hand, had deceived him completely over all these years!
“Dad, we were wrong! We promise we won’t ever fight with Tessa again! Please forgive us, don’t do this to us!” Lana pleaded, her voice a mixture of desperation and innocence.
Even in this moment of despair, she naively believed that their current predicament stemmed from their past altercations with Tessa.
Yet, if one were to dissect the situation with precision…
It had indeed been ignited by that very incident.
“Dad!” she cried out again, her heart racing.
“Take them away!” Dale bellowed, his voice reverberating with authority and finality.
Lenny raised his hand, and several imposing bodyguards stepped forward, their expressions stoic as they began to drag Lina and Lana away, their fate sealed.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Lina remained silent, her mind racing with thoughts she dared not voice.
Lana, on the other hand, was in the throes of hysteria, her cries echoing in the vast emptiness of the space until they faded into silence.
Dale squeezed his eyes shut, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. “Lenny.”
“Yes, sir,” Lenny replied, his tone respectful yet tinged with concern.
“Is this my karma?” Dale’s voice, once filled with rage, now dripped with desolation.
Indeed.
With the truth laid bare before him, it felt as if all the strength had been siphoned from his body, leaving him hollow.
The sight of them shackled ignited a fierce rage within Lina.
“How could Father do this to you? We may not be his, but the bond between you and him was real! Is he truly willing to disregard everything and abandon you?” Lina shouted, her voice echoing with indignation.
Artemis’s eyes were bloodshot, fatigue etched into her features.
At that moment, she lacked the strength to respond to Lina’s fervent outburst. They had been confined in this wretched place since the previous night, deprived of food and water, leaving her utterly drained.
“It’s because we went after Tessa! Dad is furious! We just need to apologize to him!” Lana sobbed, her mind racing with thoughts of reconciliation.
“I can’t bear to be in this place! It’s so musty, I’m a germaphobe! I can’t stand it!” Lana cried, panic rising in her chest.
“As long as we steer clear of Tessa, Dad won’t treat us like this.”
Lina felt her frustration boiling over. “What are you still dreaming about?”
They aren’t even his children! What makes you think he won’t treat us like this?
“This is all your fault! You were the one who insisted on going after Tessa! You wouldn’t let her return to Black Mountain! Now look, Dad knows everything!” Lana accused, her voice shaking with emotion.
Lina felt herself teetering on the edge of madness, her patience fraying.
Artemis’s face was ashen, her voice rising in desperation. “Enough! Do you still not understand what’s happened? What are you still fantasizing about?”
Lana’s gaze fell on Artemis, her tears flowing even more fiercely, a torrent of grief and anger.
In the next breath, she choked out, “In the end, this is all because of you! Why did you betray Dad?”
