The Returned Heiress Who Never Fit In novel Chapter 943

**TITLE: She Took 943**
**CONTENT: New and Old Hatreds**

If they were to step out together, anyone who happened to glance their way might easily assume they were a couple, blissfully entwined in a world of their own.

“Eddie, you bastard!” Tempest’s voice sliced through the air, a raw edge of fury lacing every syllable.

To Tempest, the final words Eddie had spat were not just casual insults; they were a direct affront to the bond he believed he shared with Ariana.

Tempest’s fist clenched tightly, aimed squarely at Eddie’s face, a storm of rage brewing within him.

Yet Eddie, with a grace that belied the tension of the moment, deftly dodged the incoming punch with a mere tilt of his head, his movements fluid and practiced.

Tempest was like a lion, its mane bristling, ready to pounce, anger radiating off him in waves.

But Eddie, unfazed, retaliated with a swift kick to Tempest’s knee. The impact sent a shock of pain coursing through Tempest’s leg, causing him to grunt, his body almost buckling under the force.

Eddie casually shoved his hands into his pockets, a look of disdain etched on his face. “This is a hospital, not a stage for your theatrics. If you dare come here looking for her again, don’t expect me to show any restraint.”

With that threat hanging in the air, Eddie cast Tempest a scornful glance before turning to leave, as if dismissing a mere nuisance.

“Oh, and just so you know, Rianne wasn’t lying. She really doesn’t have the authority to make that call. You’ll need to speak to Stella,” he added, his tone dripping with condescension.

Tempest’s teeth clenched in frustration. “Stella said it’s not her business either!”

The mention of Stella only served to stoke the flames of Tempest’s anger further.

Eddie shrugged, his expression indifferent. “That just means she doesn’t want to deal with it. Rianne can’t make any decisions here anyway.”

“This whole situation… it’s Abraham’s men who are keeping an eye on things. Do you really think Rianne has any influence over Abraham?”

Eddie’s words were meant to cut through Tempest’s resolve, to make him reconsider his relentless pursuit of Rianne.

But it was futile.

As far as Stella was concerned, if she claimed she couldn’t handle it, then she truly couldn’t. Tempest was left seething, frustration boiling within him.

“What about you?” he shot back, desperation creeping into his voice.

Eddie raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Me?”

“You can talk to Abraham, can’t you?”

Tempest spat the words out, his anger palpable, a reflection of his desperation regarding Ariana’s predicament.

Eddie’s mouth twitched, amusement flickering in his eyes. “What kind of wild scheme are you concocting now?”

“Whether I can talk to him or not has nothing to do with you, does it?”

Tempest’s tone was sharp, but deep down he knew Eddie was right.

Yes, he could approach Abraham, but what relevance did that hold for Tempest?

Eddie rolled his eyes, turning to walk away, clearly unimpressed.

But Tempest’s voice rang out again, filled with urgency, “Just get Ariana out first. I’ll handle everything from there. I promise I’ll give Rianne a proper explanation.”

An explanation… one that would come only after he pieced together the entire story.

At this moment, Rianne was insisting that Ariana had kidnapped her, but Tempest knew in his heart that Ariana was not that kind of person.

He had to rescue Ariana first to uncover the truth behind the chaos.

Madam Linden’s voice was laced with worry, a frantic urgency that made Tempest’s heart ache.

After Rianne’s words from the previous night, Madam Linden had tossed and turned, unable to find solace in sleep.

She had come to realize that Rianne harbored no fond feelings for the Hale family. If she did, surely she wouldn’t treat Ariana in such a cruel manner…

“It’s still a bit complicated right now,” Tempest replied, frustration creeping into his voice.

“Complicated? She was gravely injured when she was taken! Whatever the issues are, she needs medical attention first, doesn’t she?”

Madam Linden’s voice rose in panic, her concern palpable.

Hailey had relayed the news that Ariana had been badly beaten, and the weight of that knowledge made Madam Linden sick with worry.

“Forget it, I’m already at the airport. We’ll discuss this further when I arrive,” she declared, determination mingling with her anxiety.

The news of Madam Linden’s impending arrival only added to Tempest’s mounting headache. “What are you coming here for?”

“What else can I do? My Ariana… she…”

At that moment, Madam Linden’s voice broke, tears spilling forth as she struggled to contain her emotions.

She couldn’t eat or sleep in Rivermount, and now she felt the urge to rush to Yalvaria, desperate to grasp the reality of the situation for herself.
