**TITLE: She Took 950**
**Chapter 950: A Thorough Examination**
“Considering the fertility issue we discussed today, I can’t help but think that even if Dale is perfectly healthy, Diana will find a way to make it seem like he has a problem,” Lewis stated, his voice steady and filled with conviction.
His assessment of Diana’s character was astute, perhaps even chilling. In his mind, there was no limit to what she might do to rid herself of Dale.
Silas raised an eyebrow, skepticism etched across his features. “How exactly can she ‘create’ a problem? Is she going to… castrate him?” he asked, half-joking but with an undercurrent of seriousness.
“Don’t dismiss that possibility outright. If she feels cornered, she might just resort to something drastic!” Lewis replied, his expression grave yet oddly amused.
Tessa’s lips curled into a slight grimace as she cast a glance at Victor, whose expression was equally dark and brooding. Lewis had a knack for pushing buttons, and it was clear that his words were not falling on deaf ears.
“But let’s be real here—castration isn’t necessary. The medical staff present today are all loyal to Madam Diana,” Lewis continued, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.
Silas frowned, pondering the implications. “But will Dale even trust their findings?”
“Trust or not, I guarantee that even if he walks in without a single issue, he’ll leave convinced he has one,” Lewis replied, his tone unwavering.
“Why do you think that?” Silas inquired, his confusion evident.
Lewis leaned back, a knowing smile on his lips. “It’s simple. Even if a person is perfectly fine, if enough people insist there’s a problem, it starts to feel real. Eventually, he’ll begin to believe he has an issue of his own!”
Silas fell silent, absorbing the weight of Lewis’s words.
“Moreover, in Dale’s case, it’s not just idle chatter. The three children Artemis had are tangible proof. He can insist all he wants that he’s fine, but deep down, he’s likely already questioning himself!” Lewis elaborated, his eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and pity.
Three children, none of whom belonged to him. Any man in Dale’s position would naturally start to harbor doubts.
“He must have suspicions. He just refuses to confront them,” Silas said thoughtfully.
“At his age, how could he possibly come to terms with that?” Lewis replied, shaking his head in disbelief.
“The only thing he clings to is that paternity test that supposedly confirms he’s the father. It’s the one thread he believes proves he’s fine,” Lewis continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
It was clear why Dale had no intention of seeking a medical evaluation. Who could bear the thought, at this stage in life, that their lineage might end with them?
Lewis was gearing up to elaborate further, but Silas’s attention was suddenly caught by Tessa and Victor as they re-entered the room. He instinctively yanked on Lewis’s sleeve, desperate to silence him.
However, Lewis was oblivious to the subtle warning and continued, “Just think about it! Even if the fertility test reveals an issue, will he accept that she’s not his child? After all, it was a paternity test! In the eyes of the world, that’s the ultimate proof. Can it really be doubted? What’s next? Is he going to investigate if he has a long-lost twin brother? How would he even go about that—digging up his mother’s grave to ask?”
Silas could only stare in disbelief at Lewis’s audacity.
Tessa and Victor exchanged incredulous glances, their expressions a mix of shock and exasperation.
“Hey, why are you pulling me away? I’m just speaking the truth! Even if the test shows he’s infertile, I bet Dale still won’t believe that child isn’t his! And let’s not forget, it’s not just our Sister-in-law! If he discovers he has a problem, wouldn’t that mean Dan isn’t his either? Tsk, tsk, tsk… how utterly pathetic! And you think I should go comfort him? How on earth am I supposed to do that?”
