The Returned Heiress Who Never Fit In novel Chapter 960

**TITLE: She Took 960**

“Hey, Rianne, do you think there’s any truth to the rumor that Tempest and Ariana are actually related by blood?” Jane asked, her curiosity evident in her tone.

Rianne, caught off guard, shook her head slowly. “I really don’t know,” she replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Throughout her time with the Hale family, Rianne had never encountered any whispers or gossip suggesting such a connection. It left her feeling somewhat unsettled, as if she were missing a crucial piece of a puzzle. However, one thing was undeniably clear: Ariana’s feelings for Tempest were genuine and profound. That much she could ascertain.

Jane continued, her expression shifting to one of dismissal. “Forget it; it’s not worth worrying about. But I did catch wind of something interesting earlier. They mentioned that Madam Linden is already en route to Yalvaria.”

Rianne’s brow furrowed slightly at the mention of Madam Linden. “You should tread carefully. Madam Linden holds Ariana in the highest regard. If she finds out anything amiss, you can bet she’ll be coming after you with a vengeance.”

Rianne shrugged nonchalantly. “It doesn’t concern me. I’m leaving tonight.”

“Wait, what? You’re leaving?” Jane’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Mhm, I’m going…” Rianne hesitated, contemplating her destination, then opted to keep it to herself.

Jane blinked, sensing the unspoken weight of Rianne’s decision. “It’s okay; you don’t have to share if you don’t want to.”

A small smile crept onto Rianne’s lips, a flicker of mischief dancing in her eyes.

“Regardless, I won’t be in Yalvaria,” she added, her tone firm.

Jane nodded in understanding, a hint of relief washing over her. “That’s good. If you’re not around, they won’t be able to track you down or stir up trouble.”

Just as Jane was about to continue the conversation, her phone chimed, interrupting the moment. It was Tessa calling.

“Rianne! Are you really not attending Stella’s wedding? That would be such a shame!” Tessa exclaimed, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

The thought of missing the wedding tugged at Rianne’s heartstrings. The three of them had shared so many memories; it would be heartbreaking to sit this one out.

“I’ll be there,” Rianne assured her, determination lacing her words.

On the other end of the line, Tessa was already airborne, munching on a piece of pineapple. The moment she heard Rianne’s response, her face lit up with excitement.

“Didn’t you say you had a packed schedule?” Tessa questioned, her disbelief evident.

“The hospital granted me leave, so I’ll definitely be there. What about you? When do you plan to arrive?” Rianne asked, her curiosity piqued.

“I’m already on the plane,” Tessa replied, her tone light and carefree.

Victor’s private jet was their mode of transport.

“We were meant to leave tonight, but Victor needed to discuss something with Abraham, so we took off early,” she explained.

“I won’t be leaving until tonight,” Rianne informed her, a hint of nostalgia creeping into her voice.

“Alright then, we’ll catch up tomorrow morning,” Tessa said, her tone warm.

“Right,” Rianne echoed, feeling a sense of camaraderie.

They exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up, and Rianne could almost feel the excitement radiating from Tessa. Knowing that Rianne would be at the wedding brightened Tessa’s mood considerably. Without hesitation, she dialed Stella’s number.

Meanwhile, Marie was assisting Stella with her wedding dress, which had undergone significant alterations. The fit was now perfect, with just enough room to accommodate any last-minute changes.

When Stella answered Tessa’s call, she said, “I already know about Rianne.”

As they settled down, a servant brought them freshly squeezed juice, the sweet aroma wafting through the air. Marie took a sip, savoring the refreshing taste.

“Reese is starting to get anxious,” she mentioned casually.

Stella’s expression shifted at the mention of Reese.

The name stirred a mix of emotions within her. Although she had no direct ties to Abraham, the mere thought of his mistress stirring trouble was unsettling.

But with Marie’s antics, Stella found herself releasing some of that pent-up frustration.

“So, has Mona tried anything else with you?” Stella inquired, her tone laced with concern.

That scheming woman… Marie showed no fear of her, but Stella couldn’t shake the worry that Mona might pull another stunt that could genuinely frighten her.

Marie laughed lightly, “After what I did, how could she possibly dare to try anything else? For the past few days, she’s been going straight to the old coot, begging him for money.”

Previously, Mona had been frantic, desperate to regain control over the household.

But now that she realized Marie was unshakeable, fearless, and utterly indifferent to her complaints, it seemed Mona had shifted her focus entirely.

Stella raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “And do you think that old coot will give her what she wants?”

“Absolutely not. If he did, wouldn’t all the groundwork I laid with him go to waste?” Marie replied confidently.

Stella couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought, a genuine laugh escaping her lips.

It was moments like these that illuminated why Abraham often cautioned against underestimating Marie’s unconventional methods.
