Warren had also driven himself. Out of habit, he opened the car door for his wife.
After shutting the door, Warren sighed. "How can you be so willful? Didn't you promise me you wouldn't come back here?"
Elena muttered defensively, "I didn't buy any of those things this time. I just came for a massage."
"Wouldn't it be mortifying if Sebastian saw you?"
"Sebastian isn't here today," Elena explained softly.
Warren closed his eyes. "Sebastian knew it would look bad for you, so he purposely stayed away."
"Haven't I told you before? Don't just blindly follow Beatrice into everything."
Elena argued back, "But it really... felt nice."
Warren shot her a sharp look. "Am I already that useless to you?"
Elena immediately deployed her usual tactic—acting sweet. She clung to her husband's arm. "Are you mad? I promise I won't come back next time. I won't listen to her anymore."
"Do you mean that?" he asked.
She gave a placating smile. "I mean it, I really do."
Then she swiftly changed the subject. "It's all your son's fault for stressing me out."
"Did he upset you again today?"
Elena said, "Well, not directly. It's just that the second Neville girl was openly walking around The Regency Club arm-in-arm with Bennett."
"Our son definitely knew. He's just been hiding it from me on purpose. The girl he was kissing at The Regency Club definitely wasn't Nadia."
Warren patted her hand. "Don't stress over him. It's a good thing he has a girl he likes."
"You're awfully open-minded about this."
Warren replied, "Let nature take its course. There's rarely a quick fix to a good thing in this world; the path is usually long and full of obstacles."

Zane returned from his business trip and was immediately summoned by his mother.
Elena demanded, "Who was that girl you were trying to hide at The Regency Club the other day?"
Zane was about to say it was Nadia.
Elena immediately cut him off. "I advise you to tell the truth."
Zane's heart skipped a beat.
Had he been caught?
Impossible.
