Julian Sterling furiously kicked open the door to The Sapphire Lounge.

A waiter tried to stop him, but Sebastian Whitaker signaled from behind to let it go.

Elara Vance calmly glanced at the man in the doorway. People really do change; she could hardly imagine this once-gentle man kicking down doors.

Julian entered the private room, his face dark with rage.

Male escorts were singing and pouring drinks, and the guy sitting next to Elara was the same one who had served her before—the one who had been swept into the police station that night.

It was obvious what she was doing here.

"Get out!" Julian barked coldly.

The guys in the room didn't move. Elara remained impassive, calmly gesturing for them to leave and assuring them they would still be paid.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Julian unleashed his fury. "Are you really this desperate?!"

Elara's expression didn't waver. "And why are you here? To watch me buy a man?"

She had actually spotted his car earlier, turned around, gotten back in the elevator, and taken a cab specifically to wait for him at the club.

Yesterday, Zane Whitaker had made his stance clear: even if Grant Group pulled out, he would acquire Vance Properties. So, she was determined to see the divorce through, leaving no room for retreat.

Julian cursed, "Just looking at you makes me sick!"

"So? You drove all the way out here just to act like a jerk?" Elara said coldly.

"If it weren't for my mother, do you think I'd be looking for you?"

"Then what do you want?"

"What do you think?!"

"Want to join me in hiring someone? My treat?"

"Elara!" Julian was completely enraged. His wife was supposed to be a dignified lady from a prominent family, a highly educated woman!

Elara stared at him. "If you're not here to pay for a good time, then get the hell out. Unless it's about the divorce, we have nothing to say to each other."

Julian had come to smooth things over, but instead, she was insisting on a divorce and cavorting with escorts. His anger skyrocketed. "You remember this—don't ever come begging to me!"

Elara scoffed. "You're delusional. I'd get more out of sleeping with a few billionaires than I ever would from you!"

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Keep running your mouth, and you'll soon be the biggest cuckold in town."

"We're not legally separated yet! You try screwing around and see what happens!"
