The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 100

Chapter 100

Danny finishes his statement and throws a deliberate look at Tara. He catches her rolling her eyes at him and lets out a low, genuine laugh.

When he turns his attention back to the interlopers, however, his amusement vanishes. He has zero patience for these bottom-feeding gossips.

Lydia chokes on her own words, her face turning a violent shade of red, then pale green. She never expected this terrifyingly elegant man to completely shut her down.

Who practically begs to be a sugar daddy? And why is Tara so damn lucky? This man exudes power, and judging by the massive spread of premium ingredients and cuts of meat on their table, the bill is easily in the thousands. This man is a heavy hitter. Harvey, refusing to be publicly embarrassed, steps forward. “Listen, buddy, you clearly don’t know who you’re dealing with. Tara is-”

The brutal shutdown leaves them stunned.

Is this really Tara? The girl they knew was pretty, but quiet and submissive. She used to take their bullying without a word. Now, she is spitting pure venom. It must be true-whatever happened to her in the mountains turned her into a complete psycho.

“What is your problem, Tara?!” the other girl finally snaps, stepping out from behind Quinton. “We were just checking in on you! You don’t have to be such a raging bitch.”

“Checking in?” Tara lets out a sharp, mocking laugh. “You run up to my table and start gossiping, and I’m supposed to be grateful? Someone needs to put you back on your leashes.”

Danny chuckles darkly, watching her completely dismantle them. His woman takes

absolutely no prisoners.

Harvey grits his teeth, his face flushed with humiliation. “Don’t think you can act tough just because you found yourself a sugar daddy, Tara! Everyone knows what you are! Stop acting like you’re better than us.”
