Kellen inherited her business acumen straight from the old patriarch of the Dennis Family.

“If Aunt Kellen hadn’t swooped in to save the day, your own relatives would have carved up the Rhodes Corporation and left you with nothing! And now, instead of being grateful, you want to throw her out onto the street?” Tara’s voice is dripping with pure ice.

Douglas turns purple with rage, the veins pulsing in his forehead. “Tara, this is between me and my wife!”

“Wife? You bring your mistress and your bastard son to ambush her, and you have the nerve to talk about your marriage?” Tara’s lips curl into a vicious sneer.

Suddenly, she pulls a thick stack of documents from her bag and violently smacks them right into Douglas’s face. “Take a good look at exactly how much you owe her!”

It only took a few phone calls for Tara to dig up every dirty secret Douglas has been hiding.

The papers flutter to the carpet. Keira bends down to pick one up, her eyes widening in sheer disbelief. “This… Dad, you secretly mortgaged the properties under Mom’s name?”

A murderous chill flashes in Tara’s eyes. Without a moment’s hesitation, she raises her hand and slaps him across the face with everything she has.
