Chapter 106

Hearing this, Douglas looks as if he has been struck by lightning. Cold sweat drenches his

back.

Impossible! How could they possibly dig up something so highly classified? He covered his tracks perfectly; no one should have been able to find a single shred of evidence. Tara has to be bluffing.

Panicking, Douglas tears open the envelope. The moment he reads the contents, all the color drains from his face. He has completely lost.

His mistress instantly panics. “Honey! Didn’t you say that was your own personal money?”

“Shut up!” Douglas snaps. He looks up at Tara, his eyes hollow with absolute despair. “What… what exactly do you want?”

“Sign the papers right now, before I change my mind,” Tara demands coldly.

Defeated, Douglas grabs a pen with trembling fingers and scribbles his signature across the

agreement.

Satisfied, Tara neatly packs the documents away and turns to her cousin with a soft smile. “Come on, Keira. Let’s go home.”

Keira nods, wiping her red-rimmed eyes. Before stepping out the door, she shoots one last, conflicted glance at her half-brother.

Stepping out of the hotel, Tara lets out a long exhale and gives Keira’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “Don’t worry. No one will ever be able to bully you or Aunt Kellen again.”

Unable to hold it in any longer, Keira throws her arms around Tara and bursts into relieved

sobs.

Back in the suite, Douglas collapses onto the carpet, looking utterly lifeless.

His mistress scoops up the little boy, glaring down at him. “You liar!” She spins on her heel and storms out, slamming the door behind her.

Standing at the end of the hallway, Danny watches Tara walk away, a slow smirk playing on his lips.

“As ruthless and decisive as ever…”

He loves it. Tara’s methods are fast, brutal, and incredibly precise, leaving her enemies with absolutely zero room to fight back. She handles everything with flawless efficiency.

When they arrive back at the estate, Kellen is awake and looking noticeably better. Seeing them walk in, she offers a weak smile. “Is it done?”

Tara gently holds Kellen’s hand. “Yes. From now on, you and Keira can live however you want We got all your assets and shares back.”

It is a flawless victory, but Tara’s heart still aches for her aunt. After so many years, her love was ultimately wasted on a monster.

Kellen looks out the window at the clear sky, her voice barely a whisper. “Thank you, Tara. I’ve been so foolish all these years.”
