Unfortunately, the blind fools in the room buy into Jade's theatrics. At her scream, all eyes turn hostilely toward Tara.
Deanna steps forward, her face twisted with rage. "Tara, you have some nerve! You're still trying to harm your grandmother at a time like this? Are you completely out of your mind?"
Alec doesn't even bother with words. He lunges forward to snatch the pill.
Tara steps back with fluid agility, easily dodging his grasp. She glares at him, her gaze predatory and cold. "You have no idea what you're doing. If you don't want Grandma to die, shut your mouth and get the hell out of my way."
Jake frowns, his tone harsh. "Stop making excuses, Tara. Who can prove that's an antidote? For all we know, it's just another toxic concoction you scraped together." The other brothers quickly join the chorus of disapproval, muttering about how reckless and ignorant she is.
Seeing everyone rally to her side, Jade hides her smugness behind a mask of deep concern. "Tara, if you truly care about Grandma, just listen to everyone. Stop this nonsense. Put the pill down and we'll figure out another way to save her."
Tara rolls her eyes at the room full of idiots. "If you don't believe me, I can take this to an independent lab right now. But her condition won't wait. If your sheer ignorance delays her treatment, who's going to take responsibility?"
Jake chokes on his retort, temporarily silenced by her logic.
Suddenly, Eleanor, who has been unconscious on the bed, lets out a pained groan. Her frail body begins to tremble uncontrollably.
