When do Garrison and Jovani start communicating?
Could both of them be tied to the Alchemist Foundation? Or is there some other shady connection binding them? No wonder she and Danny faced a coordinated ambush the other day. It is highly likely these two joined forces to orchestrate the hit. If they both end up dead, it would be killing two birds with one stone.
"Did you find out what their relationship is? Which organization they belong to?" she asks her operative.
"Not yet. We only know they are in contact."
"Fine. Keep digging and let me know the moment you have something."
After investigating for so long, they are finally making headway. One is scheming against Danny, and the other meticulously manipulated Jade's entry into the Dennis family. Tara has the sinking realization that someone is playing a massive game, and they are all merely pawns on the board. Digging deeper might reveal a conspiracy far more complex than just Jovani and Garrison. There are bound to be more hidden players and premeditated traps she doesn't know about yet. Not wanting to tip her hand, she decides to take it one step at a time until she uncovers the truth.
Since this involves Garrison, Tara immediately thinks of Danny. She debates whether she should loop him in, ultimately deciding to give him a heads-up so he can stay on his guard.
"You're saying Garrison is in touch with the people backing Jade?"
Tara barely sends the encrypted message before her phone rings with Danny's caller ID. He clearly decrypted and read it the second it landed in his inbox.
"Alright, then be careful. I'll come find you in a couple of days, and we can talk about it in detail."
Danny sounds helplessly fond, unable to genuinely deny her anything. He knows she will never be the type to hide behind him and let him fight all her battles. Besides, they haven't officially defined their relationship yet, and he knows there are certain missions she needs to complete on her own terms. Given the sensitive nature of their enemies, they can't discuss the details over a potentially bugged phone line, which is why he suggests meeting in person.
"Sounds like a plan," Tara replies, catching his drift perfectly. They are already prime targets, and it is entirely possible someone is listening in.
After hanging up, Danny's usually gentle demeanor vanishes, replaced by a predatory sharpness. Are those bastards making their move again? Have they set their sights on Tara now too?
