The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 620

In Bonnie's twisted logic, it all makes perfect sense. Tara would poison Lindsay, watch her die, and then simply shrug and say, 'Oops, my medical skills just weren't good enough.' It was a flawless, cold-blooded murder plot.

Tara stares at the girl in stunned silence.

Bonnie's imagination is truly spectacular. She needs to be a screenwriter. Not even the lead editor at Tara's agency could script a soap opera this deranged.

"You really are wasting your potential not being in movies," Tara remarks dryly.

"Agreed," Danny says without missing a beat. He isn't afraid of offending anyone in this room; his only concern is protecting Tara from this circus.

"While Bonnie's phrasing is extreme, her underlying point stands," Gregory interjects, throwing his weight behind his daughter. He pins Tara with a hard stare. "I expect a full explanation, Miss Dennis. My mother looks incredibly weak and shows absolutely no signs of waking up."

"Why don't we ask Miss Sinclair to list the rest of the ingredients first?" Tara counters coolly, refusing to let Julianna off the hook. She knows exactly what the woman was trying to pull. "In pharmacology, ingredients are combined to balance one another. If she hasn't identified the complete formula, how can she possibly deduce that the final compound is too cold for the patient's system?"

Brought back into the crosshairs, Julianna's face drains of color. Her mind races, desperately searching for a way out of the trap.

Thankfully, Bonnie is too dense to realize her cousin is drowning. "Stop trying to change the subject!" Bonnie screeches. "Julianna already proved your medicine is toxic! You're just making up excuses!"
