As she spoke, she carefully measured out several vegetables and added them to a small pot.
She said. “Most migraine are caused by excess liver waste, especially since you’ve been stressed about the family reunion party and haven’t been sleeping well lately.
“This remedy is designed to clear the liver, brighten the eyes, calm your mind, and help you sleep. Just drink it for a few days and you’ll start to feel better.”
Charlotte was stunned, her mind blank with surprise.
“Nat, you know alternative medicine too?” she asked, eyes wide.
Natalie nodded. “Yeah, I learned a little.”
She turned on the stove and let the vegetables simmer on low heat, her movements smooth and practiced. Clearly, this wasn’t her first time making this remedy.
Charlotte stood nearby, watching her daughter’s focused profile, feeling a rush of warmth and pride fill her chest.
Soon. a sweet and refreshing scent drifted through the kitchen.
It wasn’t that usual bitter smell of medicine. This time, the gentle fragrance of spinach and mushroom filled the air, so soothing that just breathing it in made you relax.
All six people in the living room came over, drawn by the delicious smell.
“Wow, Natalie, that smells incredible! What are you cooking?” Ryan called out, poking his head in and sniffing eagerly.
He clung to the doorframe, his nose twitching as he tried to catch more of the scent.
Behind him, Jason stretched his neck out, trying to get a better look inside.
“Man, it smells so good, way better than those bitter alternative medicine brews,” Jason said, clearly impressed.
William peeked inside, rubbing his head. “Oh, I’ve got that old migraine problem too. Should I have some as well?”
Andrew chimed in, pressing his fingers to his temple.
“Ugh, work’s been crazy lately. My headache’s been killing me,” he said.
Ethan pushed up his glasses, looking all serious.
Sitting at a desk all day really messes up my neck, no wonder I keep getting headaches. Guess I really need some help with
that
“And honestly, the cases lately have been pretty bizarre, really taxing on the brain!”
Blake leaned against the doorframe, deadpan, still making a fuss about the time Natalic punched hun
Last time at the training gym Tran straight into a pillar My head’s still ringing” he said, totally deadpan
Seeing everyone shamelessly joining in, Jason jumped on the bandwagon without missing a beat

Hey Natalic, my head hurts too! I just dropped a glass on my foot while drinking water, and the pain went straight to my head. I’m dizzy now!” he blurted out.
Everyone looked at him like he’d lost his mind.
Charlotte blinked. “You dropped a glass on your foot, and somehow your head hurts?”
Ryan insisted, totally serious, “Yeah! It hurt so much my head’s still buzzing!”
Everyone just stared at him in dead silence.
The others actually had legit reasons, but Ryan, the fifth, was really pushing it.
Ryan rubbed his nose, feeling sheepish, and gave an awkward laugh.
“Alright, my head’s fine… but can I have some just in case?” he said, trying to save face.
Charlotte was laughing so hard she could barely stand up straight.
Honestly, you guys will say anything just to get a sip of this soup!” she said, shaking her head in amusement.
Natalie gave a gentie smile, then turned and pulled out a few more small pots from the cabinet.
“This batch of soup isn’t for you guys,” she said.
Ryan’s smile instantly froze, and he looked crestfallen. “Ah…”
Natalie set the pot on the stove and started prepping more ingredients, explaining as she went.
“This one’s just for migraines. It’s got a few vegetables that really help get your blood moving and clear things up.”
“If you’re not actually sick or hurting, drinking this might not be good for you.”
She paused, then added, “But… I can whip up some other wellness soup for you guys.”
Everyone instantly perked up.
Jason grinned “Nat, you’re the best!”
Natalie smiled ‘Go on, give me a little space. It’ll be ready soon!”
Ryan nodded so fast it looked like he was pecking for food. “Alright, alright, alright, we’ll leave you to u
Natalie finished brewing two batches of vegetable soup in the kitchen, nailing the timing and heat just right. She strained the soup and poured each batch into its own clear glass pot
In the living room, everyone was already clutching their cups, waiting eagerly for Natalic to show up
As soon as Natalie came out, all eyes locked onto the two pots of soup No one could look away from those rich, inviting
