On TV, they were showing all kinds of moments as students checked their scores.

Some students burst into tears from excitement when they saw their results, some families hugged each other and celebrated, and some students calmly announced their scores while their families went wild, screaming and shouting.
The living room fell silent in an instant.
All six of them turned to look at Natalie at the same time, holding their breath. No one bothered with the vegetable soup
inymore.
We’re doomed… What now?!‘ everyone thought.
3lake, sitting nearby, was the first to react. He reached for the remote and switched off the TV.
William took a deep breath, thinking to himself, ‘Always screwing things up, never getting anything done right!
With the TV off, the living room was swallowed by an eerie silence.
Every eye in the room was locked on Natalie.
Some looked nervous, some were cautious, and everyone seemed a bit awkward, like nobody knew how to break the silence.
They’d checked out Natalie’s records at Seaside City High School.
She was always at the very bottom of her class.
t wasn’t that they looked down on her for her grades, but they all knew Natalie was fiercely competitive.
Whether it was playing the piano or writing books, whenever she set her mind to something, she always gave it her all and imed for perfection.
Her grades…
it’s not like she didn’t want to do well. There must be some other reason.
Now that the SAT results were out, nobody knew what Natalie scored. But if she didn’t do well…
Would Natalie be upset?
How were they supposed to make her feel better?
Charlotte opened her mouth, trying to say something to break the awkward silence.
Hey, Natalie um, about the TV. Why did it just turn on out of nowhere?” she said, trying to sound casual
Ryan scratched his head and awkwardly jumped in
“Yeah, seriously, this remote’s acting up I swear. I’m gonna throw it out later!” he said
Jason cleared his throat softly
“The SAT is just one small chapter in life, it’s really not a big deal,” he said

PPP.
Ethan pushed up his glasses, trying to sound casual.
“Yeah, plenty of successful people didn’t ace the SAT back then, either,” he added.

Natalie, have you ever thought about pursuing the arts? With your piano skills, any music school would be lucky to have you,” Wilham said.
William felt there was no point dragging this out. What mattered was solving the problem, so he just laid it all out.
“Which school do you want to go to? Dad will reach out for you!” he declared.
Natal e paused, a little surprised by their sudden shift, but quickly realized what was going on.
She gave a light laugh and replied with a smile, “Well… Redvale University.”
“Redvale University? Absolutely!” William said.
William nodded. Redvale University wasn’t exactly famous for its arts programs, and getting in through connections wasn’t easy. But if that’s what Natalie wanted, he could always donate a couple more libraries to make it happen.
Money could make anything happen, even the impossible. For once, he was genuinely glad to be loaded.
Andrew Mitchell asked with a serious look, “So, which major do you want? Music, literature, or something else?”
Natalie thought for a second. “I guess… Physics.”
“Physics?!”
Ryan’s eyes widened in disbelief. He wanted to say something, but ended up just shutting his mouth.
‘Wasn’t Natalie always at the bottom of her class? And now she’s aiming for the Physics Department? Isn’t she just setting herself up for failure?‘ Ryan thought.
Besides, Redvale University’s Physics Department was the top spot for physics prodigies nationwide. The standards were sky–high. Money alone wouldn’t cut it.
Even the Mitchell family, one of the most influential in Harbor City, would struggle to pull strings there.
Even if you offered to build them a library, it’s not guaranteed they’d actually accept it.
Ryan kept his thoughts to himself, not daring to say anything out loud.
He glanced at his brothers, who all had different expressions, but it was obvious they were all thinking the same thing.
William just brushed it off, totally unfazed.
“Physics Department? No problem! Dad’s got your back!” he said, full of confidence.
Andrew nodded, too. “Yeah, as long as Natalie wants it, we’ve got her back all the way”
Ethan pushed up his glasses. “Redvale University’s Physics Department is tough to get into, but there’s still some room to
maneuver
“I remember a few alumni working over there We could get in touch with them.”
