The Scorned Heiress's Hidden Empire (by Jade Quinn) novel Chapter 152

ng Again?

Chapter 152 Are You Coming Again?

“Choose,” Natalie said.

Natalie parted her pink lips, her tone was surprisingly calm.

Ezekiel’s smile froze for a second. He hadn’t expected her to agree so quickly, without a hint of hesitation.

He glanced at Colton, who looked back at him. Both of them showed a brief hesitation in their eyes, but quickly shook it of Physical strength is one thing, skills are another.

They just couldn’t believe anyone could be good at everything. People like that simply don’t exist, and definitely not a

woman.

Ezekiel stepped forward. He was half a head taller than Natalie, his shoulders twice as broad, standing there like a walllyou couldn’t get past.

His fists clenched so tight his knuckles turned white. Ten years of fighting had built his muscles, flexing under his uniform hard as steel cables.

“Combat,” he said.

His voice rumbled from deep in his chest, carrying a dangerous undertone.

The crowd stepped back, forming a circle and leaving a patch of open ground. Now, only the two of them stood in the

center.

Ezekiel rolled his neck, which cracked twice. He started circling her, his footsteps heavy, each one thudding on the ground.

His eyes swept over Natalie from head to toe, searching for any weakness.

Her neck was too slender, her ribs too thin, her knees too narrow… If he landed a single hit anywhere, it’d be all over for her.

Natalie stood her ground, not moving an inch, her arms relaxed at her sides like she couldn’t care less.

Ezekiel started circling faster and faster, but Natalie didn’t budge. She just followed him with her eyes, not even bothering to turn her head or shift her stance.

To her, he was just an annoying fly buzzing around, barely worth her attention.

The crowd was on edge for Natalie. Never mind whether she actually knew how to fight, the sheer size difference alone put her at a natural disadvantage.

Ezekiel’s arm was thicker than her thigh. One punch from him could smash a brick, let alone a person.

Kelly stood in the crowd, her nails digging into her palms, sweat soaking her hands.

Noah’s brows furrowed. He wanted to jump in for Natalie, but the rules were clear: the top spot had to give up before anyone else could step in.

Madison also clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

He took half a step forward, but stopped himself, rooted to the spot. Rules were rules: the top spot had to give up before anyone else could step in.

If Natalie didn’t quit, no one else could quit for her.

Only Blondie and Noah looked completely unfazed, just leaning against the wooden posts in the back, waiting to applaud when it was all over.

Ezekiel circled her twice, tension mounting with every step, then finally struck.

His fist whistled through the air, coming down hard toward Natalie’s face.

He’d practiced this punch for twenty years, always landing it at the exact same spot. No one had ever dodged it, and Natalie wouldn’t be any different.

The crowd froze, holding their breath, hearts in their throats.

But Natalie didn’t dodge. Instead, she stepped forward, right into the path of his punch.

Everyone’s eyes went wide in shock.

‘Is she nuts? Is she trying to get herself killed?’

Ezekiel’s fist was bigger than her head. One push

‘She didn’t just stand there. She actually stepped

el plate, let alone a person.

Successfully unlocked!

Madison had already taken a step forward. Rules be damned. He couldn’t just stand by and watch that punch land.

But in the next instant, Natalie slipped right under his punch, light as a leaf swept under a knife by the wind. Ezekiel’s fist barely brushed her hair, hitting nothing but air.

Everyone was stunned for a moment, except Natalie.

What?

‘Was that real? Did my eyes just play tricks on me?’ everyone thought.

Madison, Kelly, and Sebastian all breathed a sigh of relief.

Ezekiel’s punch missed completely, and he nearly stumbled forward, his face a mask of utter disbelief.

‘Damn, that was fast!’ he thought.

He was so close, but he couldn’t even see how she dodged him.

Suddenly, he caught sight of a shadow on the ground behind him, growing larger by the second. His eyes widened in shock, and a cold sweat instantly broke out across his back.

He tried to twist around, but his weight was still pitching forward. His feet hadn’t even landed yet, he was hanging in midaiy completely unable to dodge.

A powerful hand grabbed his shoulder, and Ezekiel was jerked back so forcefully it felt like someone had hauled him away from the brink of a cliff.

His feet hit the ground, but he still wasn’t in control. She had him completely at her mercy.

Natalie gripped his shoulder and yanked him right up to her.

Out of the corner of his eye, Ezekiel saw her gaze, cold as ice, not a hint of warmth.

He twisted his head in terror, and in her eyes, he saw his own frightened, distorted face reflected back at him. But he couldn’t say a word, couldn’t move a muscle.

Natalie’s fist shot up in a brutal uppercut, slamming into his chin. His head snapped back with a sharp crack from his neck. His teeth slammed together so hard he nearly bit his tongue in half.

Ezekiel’s eyes rolled back. He saw the sky, the clouds, and then the sun exploded into a blinding white right in front of his eyes.

His body arched backward, feet leaving the ground, like an invisible hand had yanked him up by the chin.

Suspended in midair, his chin went numb from the pain, his head buzzing, his vision washed out in a sea of white. He couldn’t see a thing.

Then a dull pain shot through his gut, snapping him back to reality.

When Natalie’s fist slammed into his stomach, his body folded in half like a sheet of paper.

The air was forced out of him with a guttural, inhuman cry, and then he crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.
